Second time staying on this property and still meets expectations. From friendly staff to clean room.

We recently stayed at the RIU Plaza Chicago and chose it primarily for its outstanding location—and it absolutely delivered. With easy access to all the main tourist attractions, it made exploring the city effortless. From the moment we arrived, everything impressed us. The hotel and our room were spotless, modern, and exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast each morning was superb, with a wide range of high-quality options that set us up perfectly for the day. A definite highlight—and an absolute must-do—is the rooftop bar. The views are simply sublime, and the cocktails are just as impressive. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day in the city. A special shoutout to Tony Lopez and Lester, who looked after us throughout our stay. Their service was outstanding, and they are a real credit to the RIU brand. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Until then, keep doing the amazing things you are!

Great location and converted old Virgin Hotel. Room was fine and hotel basics were fine. There wasn’t any room service daily or for my 3 night stay. There was a strike for housekeepers and they were LOUD out front everyday. Not sure what the hotel fee was for on top of Expedia hotel charge was for, they gave me 2 waters the first day and that was it. They also upsell their vacation club/time share a lot, kinda odd.
