"This is an old school honestly, but with nicely separated living spaces (shred bathrooms). Not squeaky clean, and a bit outdated…but human and not without charm. The owner is a super courteous dude. You may need a car as it is a few kilometers 40 minute walk from the train station. The payoff is the silence and chill vibes out here. I enjoyed my stay. "

We spent two of our week long Yamaguchi prefecture trip at Hagi no Yado Tomoe and we were very happy with our choice. Evening meals presented in our room were exceptional. It was a traditional Japanese ryokan meal but with some western style interpretations.
