The poor residents of France🇫🇷 and Italy🇮🇹 for example believed the lights to be a bad omen heralding the outbreak of anything from war to plague🐀 and death💀. In Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and England🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, the skies are said to have blazed red🔴 just a few weeks prior to the French Revolution⚔️ and were later considered to have been a sign of the coming revolution in their neighbour state.

🇨🇳Ancient China: Auroral sightings in China are also rare and would have been caused by a significant solar☀️ event so unsurprisingly, the ancient Chinese were in awe of the lights that sporadically illuminated their night sky🌌.
It is said that many of the early Chinese legends associated with dragons were a result of the Northern Lights. The belief is that the lights were viewed as a celestial battle between good and evil dragons🐉 who breathed fire🔥 across the firmament.

"Here’s a polished, natural-sounding review with improved flow and clarity: The apartment was truly a gem in the area. It is within walking distance of Finnsnes Quay. We rented an apartment with a balcony and sea view at a very reasonable price. We were even able to see the aurora directly from the balcony in –15°C weather, which was incredibly convenient and memorable. The facilities were modern, and the kitchen was well equipped. Supermarkets and restaurants were also within easy walking...

"Great experience. Good connections into the city. Bus 28 every hour and the 20min rotation. I would advise organising transport if your plans are to hunt down some northern lights. I wish you all the best in this venture and I hope it’s as bright as possible showing how strong unit is. Otherwise try the hot dog the veg option was delicious. The story behind this place makes it special and the best place to get a hot dog in Europe. "
