This was my 2nd time to Tromso,the last being in November of last year. On both occasions I chose a Clarion Hotel, two next to each other. Whilst this one did not have views from the rooms looking out to the Artic Cathedral this did not matter. The hotel was only a few steps away from the harbor. Whilst all the staff I met were very welcoming the young female Filipino on the front desk went the extra mile sourcing a plug to fit my uk items. She is a credit in providing excellent customer service and sure a credit to your hotel and company. I will definitely be back and will only chose a Clarion Hotel. I could not fault the restaurant, all the meals they provided including the afternoon coffee and cake are a nice touch at no extra cost. The public areas could do with a touch up but this is minor to the excellent hospitality provided each time. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or its sister one next door if you are planning a trip to Tromso.

I liked having dinner included for all guests as well as breakfast, tea and cake in the afternoon and tea/coffee available 24/7. This really made a difference in a city where eating out is generally expensive. The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the beds comfortable. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

The food is very good and is included! The sauna and jacuzzi are a great plus. Staff is very nice and helpful, the location is unbeatable. However rooms are a little small and it needs new carpets and some painting of the doors etx around the halls of the rooms.

its quiet near to all attractions, everything almost walkable distace the options for breakfast ,dinner and afternoon coffee is life saving , really enjoy the evening dinner specially.

Greeted by friendly staff and a simple check in. The rooms were adequately equipped. You have to ask for the room to be serviced. The food wasn’t great but was all included and it was very busy at meal times.

Our stay was for 6 nights in total, we were pleasantly surprised by the included meals and friendly staff. We were able to book all of our excursions through Magic Tromso right in the hotel lobby and were able to do everything we wanted to book last minute. I highly recommend this hotel for the location and cost. The only downfall was that the hot tub wasn’t included in the booking. It was a small added fee which I must have overlooked on their website.

Beds & pillows were comfortable. Adequate size room. Breakfast was exceptional. There is afternoon tea which is free & daily free preset dinner if you wish. All in all, great stay!

Great location with easy access for all your pickups. Nice to have meals included. Also, if you get lucky you can see the northern lights from the roof! My only feedback is related to the shower, where the temperature fluctuated sometimes.

Best ever!
Great service by Sina, Alexander and analu. Excellent food. Comfy big rooms. Spa and cheap Jacuzzi. Dream Central location. I would definitely visit again no complaints!

Hotel Aurora it certainly was!
Room was nice, bed was comfortable and food was great (and free!) Could have had more vegetarian options available but couldn’t really complain. Even managed to see the northern lights from our bedroom window.

Absolutely amazing hotel, super clean, staff are so friendly and helpful. Hot tub is lovely, gym is great, food is so yummy - I have allergies and the staff didn’t hesitate to cook me something I could eat. Great location and free hot drinks always on offer! Best hotel I’ve ever been too!

Great stay
This was our second stay at the Clarion Hotel Aurora, and it was as good as the first. Comfortable beds, good shower. The all-inclusive breakfast and dinner is a great selling point; loads of choice for breakfast, slightly more limited at dinner ( especially if you are vegetarian/vegan). The staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially the restaurant and kitchen staff who work tirelessly to keep the restaurant clean and the food plentiful.

My room 329 was next to maid service. Linenn carts right across my room. Bath tub is high to get in and out. Has to pump shampoo and conditioners. In lieu of cleaning the hotel donates to climate fund. Very laudable

The Aurora Hotel is a comfortable hotel, located right in front of the harbour making it easy for excursions. Meals are included with your booking, as is afternoon tea. The staff are friendly and helpful, I would definitely stay there again.

Good for short break,
Very good hotel with a perfect location close to bars and restaurants, pust just opposite the hotel. The sauna on the top floor with an amazing view was our number one! Also, you can pre-book an outdoor jacuzzi as well. Very good breakfast, tea, or coffe 24/7

A.lovely place to stay. Lars was the receptionist on my last night in the hotel. He was very helpful and provided me with all the information i needed to get to the airport on time especially by bus.

Looks are deceiving - don't stay here!
This is a very, very low end hotel, despite the pictures. Equivalent to a US Motel 6 perhaps. Our rooms looked directly into the offices next door. There are only 2 rooms with any sort of view. The meal services are not well-staffed, so everything was running short, or cold. The lack of layout of the food means there are a lot of people going different directions and a lot of unhygienic practices. The staff were mostly non-existent in the food areas. Tables stayed dirty for +10-15 minutes every day. The rooms are completely lacking in charm and comfort. Really, really a poor choice. Would never stay there again.

I would have enjoyed my stay, but when I arrived, I approached the door and found a note that said the hotel was closed for the week due to the Easter holiday. The note specifically said they tried to notify all their guests about the inconvenience, but I was not notified whatsoever. I looked back and found my Uber to drive away, which I was sent into a panic. I took a closer look at the note and it said I was booked at the Clarion With right across the street. Again, I was never notified of this. The parking lot lacked proper methods of ridding of a massive puddle of ice, so my walk over was a bit slippery, especially with my suitcase in tow. I got to the Clarion With and hoped they had me booked. They did, but I was still furious they never notified that I was being moved hotels. I did consider switching to another hotel due to my inconvenience. Overall, be wary of this hotel's opening hours, especially since they do not contact their guests with the news.

Can not fault the clarion Aurora Position in Tromso very central, the breakfast also good plenty to eat, dinner was good but not much selection .Room was large and beds very comfortable over all a very we enjoyed are stay very much

Great location but the rooms are shabby, very dated decor, scratched up, ugly colors, semi-gloss paint on walls (!) , depressing. No alarm clock, but no plug or charging port near bed so your phone is halfway across the room. Have to get up to see the time. No mini fridge no coffee maker. Bares bones. Bathroom bright cold light, ugly design, tiny shower, water gets allover floor. Thin walls, you hear every toilet flush of your neighbor. Nice sauna and jacuzzi but you have to pay extra to use jacuzzi and reserve a time. But it doesn’t open until 11am so for early risers, travelers up early with jet lag, can’t use it. Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner not good. Was hoping to save money by eating dinner there but it was unappetizing/blah (think meatloaf, plain noodles, potatoes in mayonnaise), so went out anyway. Basically way over-priced for what it is. If they hired a decent designer to re-do the rooms and got a better cook for dinner they cook warrant the prices.
