Wir haben uns im Schlosshotel Petry sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer (Superior) waren sauber, schön eingerichtet und auch von der Größe her sehr angenehm. Das zweite Zimmer das wir gebucht hatten, hatte sogar einen Balkon. In den Zimmern nach "vorne" kann man die Bahn hören, was uns aber in keinster Weise gestört hat. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig, lecker und frisch, tolle Säfte! Wir wollten gerne im wunderschönen Garten frühstücken und obwohl die Temperaturen an diesem Morgen noch nicht entsprechend waren, sind die Damen vom Service direkt ganz spontan auf diesen Wunsch eingegangen und haben für uns eingedeckt. Die Speisen und Weinauswahl im Restaurant sind auch ganz hervorragend, die Mitarbeiter dort ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Saunabereich ist ebenfalls herrlich, hier kann man sich verwöhnen lassen! Herzlichen Dank, wir kommen gerne Noch einmal wieder!

Disappointing

When we booked a double room we had no idea it was so small. We couldn't even open 2 suitcases at the same time. The room was extremely hot (July) and when one opened the window the mosquitoes came in. No AC or even a fan. The furnishings were minmalistic and cheap. When we opened the window at night the noise from the trains kept us awake. The beds were comfortable and the linen clean. Breakfast was OK as was the dinner. I understand that there is a superior room that is twice the size so it is probably worth paying a higher price to enjoy your stay.

Zimmer und Bad gross genug - aber das Hotel macht insgesamt einen eher veralteten Eindruck. Abendessen ein bisschen schwierig, da sich Reisegruppen um das Buffet gedrängt haben. Aber das Essen a la Carte war gut.

The hotel is family owned and operated in a quaint village along the Mosel River...ten minutes from Cochem, and directly across the street from the train stop. When we mentioned that our bed was too firm, the staff immediately added a pillow top for additional comfort! Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and eaten at our reserved table! Each evening we enjoyed a delicious local German dish, that was skillfully prepared and beautifully presented! We would highly recommend a stay at Schlos-hotel Petry!

Gediegenes Hotel mit Flair

Wir waren auf einer Modelradtour. Das Hotel ist super, komfortabel, sauber mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Zimmer waren großzügig, kühl und das war sehr gut, sonst wären wir bei der Hitze beinahe gestorben. Das Essen war vorbildlich. Leider ist der Ort Karden etwas verlassen und einsam. Man kann da nicht wirklich viel machen.

Geen verhouding prijs/kwaliteit

Wij zijn langs heel de Moezel getrokken van Trier tot en met Koblenz met 7 overnachtingen op verschillende locaties. Dit was de duurste hotel van heel de trip, maar 1 van de minste overnachtingen van deze 7. Het eten is 2 keer teruggebracht naar de keuken omdat de gamba's (2 stuks voor €23,00 !) nog rauw waren. De eerste keer kregen wij excuus aangeboden. De tweede keer kregen wij te horen dat gamba's in Duitsland half rauw worden gegeten. Uiteindelijk kreeg mijn vriendin toch goed doorbakken gamba's. Ook de saladebar was niet vers. Verder wel goede kamer en uitstekende douche. Ook goedkoop om een tas met badjas, handdoek, baddoek en slippers te huren t.b.v. de wellness.

Durchwachsene Erfahrung.

Leider war mein Zimmer kalt, trotz Anreise um 19.00. Die Heizkörper waren auf 0, also Enteisung. Bad ebenfalls. Der Fernseher auf dem Zimmer war in einer sich nach vorne verängenden Schrank eingebaut, so daß der ohnehin kleine Fernseher noch "kleiner" war. Rezeption war z.b. am Abreisetag nur durch eine Person besetzt, die auch den Service im Frühstücksraum gemacht hat. Ansonsten war der Service ok. Bei einem 4 Sterne erwartet man halt mehr als bei einem 3 Sterne.

Haus mit 4? Sternen

Dieses Hotel kann leider nicht die Erwartungen an einen Aufenthalt mit 4 Sterne-Qualität erfüllen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Leider reicht das nicht aus, die Mängel zu kompensieren. Das Zimmer verfehlte die 4 Sterne-Wertung sowohl von der Größe als auch vom Komfort bei weitem. Wenn mit Mühe gerade ein Stuhl hinein passt, können auch 8 Kissen auf dem Bett nichts retten. Vor allem, weil diese ja irgendwo gelagert werden müssen, wenn man im Bett schlafen möchte. Im Bad mangelte es an Aufhängemöglichkeiten bzw. Handtücher und Haken waren nicht kompatibel (wenn ein Handtuch keine Schlaufe hat, kann man es nicht an den tatsächlich vorhandenen Haken aufhängen). Vielfalt und Füllgrad des Frühstücksbüfetts ließen ebenfalls Platz nach oben, Brot- und Brötchenauswahl waren sehr gut, bei Obst, Wurst und Käse herrschte dagegen Monotonie.

Großes Schlosshotel im Familienbetrieb

Zimmer mit Blick auf den Friedhof Durch kurzfristige Buchung völlig überteuert Kaffee to go (der in vielen normalpreisigen Hotels ohne weiteres im Frühstück mit inbegriffen ist) hätte extra gekostet. Positiv : Zuvorkommend am Empfang Gastgeschenk eine Flasche Wein vom Hausweingut
