"Very basic rooms and with only mosquito net and no glass on top windows so you are awoken very early by sounds from neighbours and staff as well as wildlife animals. Not very attentive staff, we struggled to find someone to help us with information several times. And food is okay but again very basic. The grounds (pool area, beach, bar etc.) are all very nice though. Be aware that to get to Tortuguero village you need to pay for taxi boats which can quickly add up if you want to go on tours,...

"We stayed here as a family with 2 kids for a night in the room overlooking the river and it was just a very pleasant experience. The hotel has its own dock and is very close to the beach and the national park entrance. They also offer guided tours and Victor was very knowledgeable with a super quiet electric motor boat.
