Excellent hotel and nice staff but in a very remote location. Important to have a car or it would be difficult to leave the hotel.

My wife and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary vacation here in January. We had the most wonderful relaxing week possible. Its not as luxurious as it says . The rooms are very dark and dated , need extra touches such as slipper and dressing gowns , high quality toiletries. The bed is way to high , Im 165cm tall but still needed a step too get up. No TV in the room. It needs to upgrade with the times , i. Im sure other hotels locally are more modern and up to date. Especially as the beach is massively disappointing, its dirty with ocean rubbish not just drift wood but from boats etc . The hotel needs to offer a wow...

Lovely location and property. Line caught tuna for supper was delicious. Lovely breakfast with great choice including gluten free bread.

Friendly and well travelled owners, they have some really interesting stories to tell! The place is in a quiet safe area with a river floating nearby that you can swim in. The nature around is beautiful. Ask for recommendations for what to do in the area, the owners are well informed and can help you get organized. I personally really enjoyed the horseback riding tour.

I can't recommend this hotel enough – I spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. Everything was perfect – super location, a clean, serene room with a balcony to sit out on and watch all the wildlife... Delicious breakfast and food in the restaurant (and at the moment all the football matches projected on the wall!) ... Every member of staff was kind and helpful... And so many nice touches: the lovely yoga in the open air studio... freshly baked cake every afternoon... and a to-go breakfast on...

Lovely space , very clean and tidy. Friendly staff, huge bed. Lovely swimming pool, and 2 mins from the beach. Breakfast best so fat on our travels

Pleasantly surprised given the negative reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great reception and concierge, very helpful. Despite what some people say the restaurant served high quality food for both breakfast and dinner. The service was quick and attentive without being too on your face. Every member of staff we met were friendly. Our room no 2 was well positioned for the pool, bar and restaurant. The icing on the cake are the views which are spectacular. These villas are just perfect. Adults only with a gorgeous warm swimming pool. Away from all the hussle of the town up in the hills, but still only 4m drive to the beach. Rosa and her husband were amazing and even helped fix our hire car when it broke down.

Great place to stay for a few nights and chill. Enjoy the great, clean hotel and nice pool with the shaded areas that you need in this climate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are superb and I would try anything on the menu with complete confidence. Prices are sensible and compare very favourably with other hotels in Costa Rica. I hope we can visit again!
