This is a veritable gem of a place, surrounded by the fabulous Piedmont scenery wherever you turn. Carlo, his wife and their team were superb, a warm and friendly welcome, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel facilities are good, with everything you might expect in the room, and the bonus of a beautiful peaceful garden and terrace, where meals can be served, and a lovely pool. Nice luxury hotel, attentive staff, fantastic food. I did not like to see people hanging around in bath robes at breakfast or lunch, I know it is a resort/SPA but it is really not necessary to avoid the basic effort of getting dressed. La Rei restaurant is superb.

Lovely hotel on top of the hill of Monforte d’Alba. Breakfast overlooking breathtaking views. Concierge Service fromknowledgeable staff (couldn’t do enough for us.. superb! ... booking restaurants/wine tours & tastings/truffle hunting. Comfortable environment with little outdoor pool; loungers with supplies of sunscreen etc. Steep walk to great range of Restaurants in Monforte however easier to drive than walk back! We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The hotel is stunning - the room, swimming pool area, views. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout, giving recommendations of places to visit, restaurants etc. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Although the village is very small and quiet, it's just a 15 minute drive to larger towns. It really was fantastic value for money and we would happily come back!

Incredible location with its own private pool overlooking the vineyards. Lovely staff who couldn’t do more to help. Town is 15 mins walk away and a steep walk back but the hotel does offer a ride back… def worth a visit!
