Had a nice walk in the downtown area around the capitol. Lots of cool historic statues. Had to see the large wren statue. Enjoyed the Evel Knievel museum! Too bad it's moving to Vegas at the end of 2024.

There are plenty of things to see and do. We took time to play at Chuck E Cheese, shopped at the mall, ate at Culver's and enjoyed the visit. There is a lot of history in Topeka with a nice zoo and museums. Just be careful of the potholes!

Very clean city but almost empty on Sunday. State Capital is very impressive. Not many places to dine on Sunday. Found the Iron Rail Brewery downtown and the food was good. No shopping downtown on Sunday.

"Great room! Lots of space, great for family with teen who wants their own space without needing to get two rooms. Fantastic kitchenette with sink along with microwave and mini frig. Frig had clear door so you won’t forget anything…brilliant! Great stay. Hyatt place is our new fave. "
"The staff is extremely friendly and kind. Check in was quick & we were greeted with fresh baked cookies. Breakfast service was excellent and tasted great, especially the homemade cinnamon raisin oatmeal. Fitness center equipment could use replacement. Thank you for our stay. "
