Bogazkesen Bridge and Yeşilırmak in Erbaa District of Tokat Province
The city of Tokat in the north of Turkey, far away from the well-trodden paths, was founded more than 4000 years ago (period of the Hittites) and since then it has been part of 14 different nations. It is the place where Julius Caesar defeated a Pontic army in 47 BC and sent a message to Rome with the famous words "Veni, vidi, vici" (I came, I saw, I conquered). Today Tokat is best known for the artisanal painting of fabrics, cloths and table linen. #Culture
