Tivives Trip

The rooms were very spacious, and my partner and I were truly impressed with our stay. We were honestly disappointed that we couldn’t stay longer, but we would definitely come back again in the future. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and helpful throughout our visit!

The hotel was nice enough and we enjoyed walking the trails to the waterfall. However, I would NOT recommend this hotel, particularly the Villa Prima Mountain View suite. We were kept awake by multiple dogs barking nearby for several hours and spoke to the front desk about the problem twice before being given a different room to sleep in. There were no fans available in the room for white noise and despite the windows being closed, we could hear sounds from outside very loudly. This was a big disruption to our stay as we were just there for one night before our flight out of San Jose. Staff were apologetic but not proactive. We were also charged $72 for three margaritas at dinner, $10/drink for the margarita mix plus $14/drink for Don Julio tequila.

I would recommend this hotel for a short stay. The staff is overall very friendly and helpful. If you are a senior make sure that you don' t get a room on the 2nd floor because once inside you will have to climb the stairs to get to the bedroom. Other then that you can be assure of a pleasant stay
