"After our longest walk on the 4 day Queen Charlotte Track, this resort was a delight to end with. The room was comfortable and the shower hot. They had a lovely bar area for a pre-dinner drink and dinner was delicious. We found the water conservation and rainwater use fascinating and applaud their efforts. We were a little concerned about the long downhill on the road to get to the lodge from the track knowing we had to go up the next day. Imagine the wonderful surprise when the front desk told us they shuttle trekkers to the track in their van. A super nice way to start as the track started with a long, steep uphill. Highly recommended "

"After our second day walking the Queen Charlotte Track, this resort was a lovely way to end the day. The room was comfortable and the shower hot and excellent pressure! Their restaurant has been damaged but they let us know that in advance and continued to provide excellent meals at the spacious dock or delivered to the room. We ate at the dock for dinner and breakfast. They also provided a delicious bag lunch on request. The trek back uphill to the track was a bit more strenuous than we wanted to start our longest day!"

They provided a bag lunch on request for our next day. They work well with the cougar line and our bags were in our room when we arrived. It is a lovely resort in a picturesque setting. "

"everything was perfect; however I wish it were possible to watch tv in bed. I understand why the room is set up the way it is, but putting the tv on a swing arm would make it even better."

"The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms."

"Tim and Heather were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was spacious and luxurious. It had everything you could need as well as access to a pool table and movie room. Lots of books to read and all the amenities were modern and of good quality. View out the front window was looking over the marina. Would recommend it to anyone."

"This is an amazing location with wonderful views - unfortunately the weather was overcast and cool for summer so no stars at night. The rooms are good and maximise the views. Ok its not really five star but good given the location. I do have to comment on the food. A few tweaks could have made a big difference. The beef was beautiful produce but sadly overcooked. and I would not call a bowl of cold brocollini and sum raw baby spinach with a simple dressing a course. its an accompaniment. And some seasoning, lemon or lime and chilli would have gone a long way to lifting my breakfast huevos rancheros to a decent level. I had to do that myself"
