Our host Sylvia was very warm, kind, welcoming and friendly. She served an excellent breakfast! She went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable. We were disappointed with the property being somewhat rundown.

What a wonderful place to stay. The host, Sylvia, was outstanding and delightful. The breakfast was traditionally delicious. We highly recommend this place!!!

Very outdated, rooms and bathrooms sorely in need of an update. However, friendly staff and good breakfast . Carpets, old and stained, but vacuumed and beds were clean.

The host was wonderful and accommodating. The breakfast menu was lovely and the food was very good. Some of the issues we encountered were the heating not working so our sheets were damp. The sink was leaking water, we were told it was going to be fixed and it still leaked.

Very friendly staff who let me check in a good few hours early in order to drop my things before attending a wedding. Breakfast was fantastic as well!

Sweet, helpful and happy
Our stay, although short, was great. The owner was delightful as were her young adult children. We slept well and had a very nice breakfast.

Large room with big windows to see around. We ate out although few places were open on the night. Managed to find somewhere open to get dinner. Take away was had and we went back to the hotel to enjoy the open room with games etc. this room really added value to the stay.

We loved the feeling of really being in a small town in Ireland, rather than a hotel. Felt very European, everything was spotless, the breakfast was well-appointed and delicious! The host was kind enough to connect us with a local genealogist who was extremely helpful in starting the family research - this would not have been possible staying in a generic hotel. Very happy with the visit!

We can’t understand the reviews of this hotel, we are fine with older decor if it’s clean and comfortable. This place is neither. The room was small, dark and felt like a 1970s school camp. Noise from other guests comes through the ceiling and concrete walls. After checking in we seriously discussed leaving, and wish we had. It the first place we’ve ever slept on top of the bed instead on in it after discovered dirty sheets. The bathroom was old, mouldy, missing tiles and had rubbish from the last guests in the shower. Overpriced and horrible

We stayed here three nights and each night was lovely! Sylvia was a great host. The room was clean and spacious, town close enough to walk to dinner or the store, easy parking. Breakfast was made to order each morning with a delicious buffet of yogurt, cheeses, fruit and juice while we waited. I highly recommend staying here. We used it as our base for day trips to the Rock of Cashel, Cobh & Cork, and Limerick.

The owner, Slyvia, was very friendly, funny and made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of entrees and fruit to pick from. She also introduced us to Michael who is a genealogist, who helped us research our anchestors (Maher and Dugan) in Tipperary.

Very nice little place to stay at. I enjoyed the breakfast, they even had grapefruit juice! Staff was wonderful - very friendly, and also helped me find local bus routes and places to eat. Highly recommend if you're ever going through Tipperary.
