"The apartment hotel is a new building in a suburban residential area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good restaurant called Brothers nearby which serves gyros and other Greek meals and is frequented by locals. There is a mini mart and a couple of bakeries as well on the same street. ..."

The hotel is, to all intents and purposes. a hillside village. We had a car so could reach Gazi in 5-7 mins which has all amenities and Heraklion in 20-25mins. Surrounded by goats with bells roaming the mountains, olive trees and cicadas.
