"Basically all that was needed was a suitable room for the night with the option of a value for money breakfast, if required. The room allocated was absolutely fine and in the end breakfast was taken... and very good it was too."

"Lovely old building in the centre of Buxton. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It was ideal for a short stay. They seemed to be a bit short-staffed generally and the waiter at breakfast was rather rude. The hotel would benefit from some updating and parking is tricky. There's no free parking at the hotel or nearby and the parking there is outside the hotel was full."
