"We had a nice trip overall, but to give our opinion my wife and I would rate this hotel at a solid 7.8 While it is a nice nostalgic old hotel there were a few things we were not thrilled about. We feel you should not put older guests on the second floor of The Palace side. There is no elevator and the stairs are quite difficult for us to haul our luggage up and down. We were not offered assistance. We both got real tired of navigating the stairs. I also ended up fixing the running toilet on my own as the maintenance staff was gone for the day after we checked in. The breakfast is similar to other 2-3 star hotels. (Quite average). The location is great and walkable to restaurants and shopping. The trains nearby are nostalgic. We are not quite sure the pricing for three nights was worth the convenience of the location."
