"The room was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pleasantly beyond my expectations - very good and a lot of variety. LOVED the dormer window. The only thing that prevented this from getting 5 stars was the elevator. We only used it once and then took the stairs from there on. The light inside was almost nonexistent - like the bulb had just burned out maybe? A little scary riding in an elevator with the lights out and makes you second guess the safety of it. We lived LOL Other than that - great hotel and gorgeous little town. Really loved the overall experience."

"The Hawthorn is a destination hotel, gorgeous decor, fantastic staff, super location, drop your bags, breathe and relax. Plenty to do on the grounds with a gorgeous golf course and fantastic walks, or indulge in the spa. Sure sign of a great hotel is when you don’t want to leave and I didn’t!"
