Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Room, public space and toiletts were always clean. Ate in the pub for two nights and that was a great experience. Parmi and cheeseburger. The cheeseburger in particular was amazing. Tasted great and wasn't sloppy. Overall, this one's a winner value for money.

room was perfect clean spotless linen was crisp and clean the coffee/tea station on top of fridge was so appreciated even in our budget room there was space for everything hangers in the wardrobe there was even milk in the fridge for us the checkin guy was great knew everything even looked up how long it would take us to get to the funeral the next day i needed the help and he was so happy to do so thank you again for everything

Mattress severely uncomfortable and caused back pain, blood stain on the bedding, no quilt or proper blanets supplied, air conditioning did not work, showers full of mould. Accommodation over all needs upgrading for price. However, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

The staying at the Hotel was reasonable good, that is, room very clean, good quality linen bed sheets, and room in good order. My predicament now is how I recover the $50.00 dollar key room deposit that I payed at the Lakes Hotel. Who is responsible to refund that money, The Lakes Hotel or the LastMinute? Because I have contacted Lola three times over the phone, apparently the Lakes Hotel Manager, but it has been impossible to recover the $50.00 dollars key room deposit. Clean, comfortable and affordable. The bed and shared bathrooms were excellent, and the location is convenient. The bedrooms are quite basic, but overall I enjoyed my overnight stay.

Staff were great, check in was easy, restaurant staff were great too. Shared toilets were quite basic, the door to one set of bathrooms cannot be closed so if you're brushing your teeth (in the very small basin) or something and someone walks past in the hallway they can see you so there's not much privacy. The ceiling fan in our room was extremely rickety making for it being very noisy and looking like it was about to fall apart. Good for singles out couples just to crash for one night.

Surprisingly good and the mattresses were so comfortable! The whole decor on the guest room floor is 50's retro and truly this place is a hidden gem! At $85 a night for a twin room, you expect very little but The Lakes was more than great. Like I said, a hidden gem
