"We arrived and there wasn’t anyone to greet us. Parking was only enough to fit 6 cars. We checked in and went to see the room. There was mould in the cupboard - door was broken. Mould on the ceiling in the shower. Shower pole broken. The blinds were broken and only One window opened. Paint chipped everywhere and looked completely different to the photos we had seen. "The road to the hotel was iced an no one salted or sanded it making it impossible to get to the hotel. The light in our hallway wasn’t working. The hotel was run down, the towels were pitifully small, the shower ran out of hot water. "

"Worth stopping here even if your are passing through. Such a pretty and historic place. The hotel is quite rustic but my room was fresh and clean. Get a room with balcony and enjoy the view of the square. The pictures are around and about the Town, less than a minutes walk. The proprietor was king enough to direct me to an area in the back yard of the hotel to park my motorcycle and unload more easily. A kindness much appreciated. Thank-you "
