A comfy stay in the National Park

Lovely comfortable stay. Although the weather was not great, we were warm and comfortable in a lovely T2 house with modern, tasteful interior. Communication from host was excellent. Our dog loved it too. Highly recommended.

Casa da Fonte is nestled in one of the sweetest villages within Gerês. This place was a good value for price. However, we had major issues with check in. We sent inquiries about check in days before and received no response. We didn’t get our check in information until after the check in time, forcing us to sit in a fierce, cold rain storm. The place smelled like cigarettes and the host is not on site/wasn’t responsive. However, we may have been a one off. Everybody has a bad day and we hope their business does well.

Very nice apartment in an medieval town. Very interesting location in the mountains. We recommend this location to anyone staying north of Braga.

Nice place but no heat!

The accomodation is very clean and neat but we had two issues. We couldnt get the heat started , and the apartment was very cold. Also we were 2 adults and 2 children but there was no sofa bed as we expected.

J'ai été impressionné par tous les aménagements que le propriétaire a fait pour ce qui est, il faut le rappeler, une maison dans un village isolé. J'ai très bien dormi et il y avait tout ce qu'il me fallait pour faire la cuisine. La maison était très propre. J'avais la chance d'avoir une maison avec terrasse offrant une vue superbe sur les montagnes donc bonheur pendant les repas en commençant par le petit déjeuner. J'ai apprécié qu'il y ait des capsules de café offertes pour la durée de mon séjour, des produits de cuisine et de vaisselle. Mes seuls regrets sont d'abord de n'avoir pas pu voir le propriétaire des lieux. Ensuite, je n'ai pas trouvé dans le livre d'informations où aller faire ses courses, des restaurants recommandés, des balades recommandées et ma maison n'avait pas de machine à laver le linge. Une autre en a mais n'a pas de machine à laver la vaisselle, ce que j'avais. Au final, je compte revenir dans ce lieu et en profiter pour faire les balades environnantes (il y a le choix). Cette visite était juste pour repérer ce qu'il fallait et comment se préparer au mieux pour les randonnées pas souvent bien balisées.
