"Beautiful and quiet. The chef is amazing and our dinner was delicious. The manager/waiter was not so pleasant. I think it may have been a language barrier issue as we don’t speak Italian and he doesn’t speak English and he didn’t have much patience for translating. "This hotel was truly spectacular. What struck me most was how well the design showcases Matera's distinctive architecture without sacrificing comfort or luxury. The rooms are genuinely comfortable and beautiful inside — modern, while still respecting the character of the city's stonework, and never losing that cozy feel. Our room in particular opened directly onto the street, almost like a little house of its own. It was one of our favorite stays ever. There's one important thing to flag. The hotel's listing advertises free on-site parking, which was actually one of the reasons we chose it. A few days before arrival, we got an email letting us know that the hotel is in a restricted vehicle access zone, and that parking is actually a 10 minute walk away. When I wrote back pointing out that this wasn't what was advertised, I was just told that the hotel is in a restricted zone as mosts hotels in Matera, which I of course completly understand, but doesn't change the fact that the listing isn't accurate. So: factor this into your budget — the shuttle to the parking lot costs €15 per trip. And if you're thinking of just walking instead, it's just 10 minutes but it's uphill with a lot of steps, so it's very hard with luggage — fine if you only have a backpack or hand luggage. None of this would stop me from booking again or recommending it — the hotel itself is excellent and one of my favorite stays of the trip. Just go in with the right expectations about parking."

"Great property in a super easy, convenient location! Walk right out the door into the square filled with cafes & shops! We paid to park in the private garage & Vito took us everyday to retrieve it & back it out of the right space. He was amazing. A good continental breakfast…but if you get there late they don’t seem to replenish once items are gone, so get there earlier than later. Front desk staff were very nice & spoke good English which was helpful of course."

"We had a wonderful stay at Torre Cintola Greenblu Sea Emotions with our 2-year-old. The resort has a lovely peaceful setting right by the sea, with excellent pools (lncluding a large children pool area), spacious green gardens, and a relaxing natural atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Especially the high level of care after I was bitten by a camel during a day trip to Zoosafari. Dr Alessandro Bifulco from the Vesuvius was exceptional — calm, professional, and incredibly skilled. He provided thorough medical care, which prevented us from needing multiple hospital visits. His kindness and competence turned a worrying moment into something manageable, and we are so grateful to him. The resort is very family-friendly, with comfortable rooms and a welcoming vibe that suited us perfectly. We really appreciated the seafront location, beautiful pools, and relaxing environment. Torre Cintola is a great choice in Puglia. We felt well looked after the whole time and would happily return. A big thank you to the team, especially the magnifico Dr Alessandro Bifulco for his outstanding help!"
