"Firstly, I arrived to find that I received a free upgrade - so the stay got off to an excellent start. I always appreciate being accommodated on the top level of the lodge, due to my erratic sleep pattern. All the usual things were top notch: great facilities, clean room, plenty of space, nice bathroom, relatively quiet location, handy parking, and welcoming front-office staff. I'll be back to stay in February (I'm a regular visitor)."

"We absolutely love staying at this property. It is a motel and also has a hotel associated with it. There’s a pool on a hot tub. The building seems safe as it is locked at night and requires key access. It is a great place to launch off into Raglan or the Waitomo glowworm caves. This hotel is exceptionally clean and provides a great value for the price. The staff is super friendly when you check in and very kind. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your hotel."

"The room was large with all the amenities you need. Everything was spotless and our 2 night stay was the best we have had so far. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. You can walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and we find New Zealanders to be very friendly. Highly recommended. "

"Awesome place to stay, bit of a sewerage smell at front of property but the apartment was beautiful and clean and smelt good!!!! This is a great option for people who have a whanau member in hospital, you can cook them a kai and walk it straight up to the hospital as it was a 2 minute walk. Well done Lorne Apartments, we had an awesome stay."
