Paco was a wonderful host, the New Mexican breakfasts served there on the weekend were great, and the entire inn was like a tastefully furnished art gallery. We'd love to return!
It was amazing. Very friendly staff. Check-in was seamless. Room was great. Owner lives next door if there were any issues but there was not. Would stay there again but it is so popular hard to find a vacant time to book! Highly recommend p
Wonderful place, great breakfast, beautiful art, comfy rooms, nice folk.

Beautiful, comfortable room. Great location. Historic building. Unfortunately this bed & breakfast offers no breakfast on weekdays (when we were there). The shower wouldn’t drain. There was no follow through on promise to repair.
Host is wonderful and a delight to talk with. He had lots of good stories to share. Room was very comfortable with lots of local charm. Weekend breakfast is awesome!
What a great facility. Each room has an individual personality. Our host Paco was very helpful in recommending local restaurants. The next time we stay in Taos we will stay at La Doña Luz Inn. This hotel is a gem.
This is a very nice little place furnished with antiques and old paintings that give it a unique, cozy feeling. Things were clean, the HVAC worked, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Parking was easy in front or back. The only negative was the condition of adjacent property which was dilapidated and cluttered. That is unfortunate because the owner of this inn has done such an excellent job improving and maintaining his own property.
This was a perfect location for touring Taos. The entire place was artsy and had beautiful decor. Would stay here again. Weekend breakfast, large soak tub, and all the charm in the world.
This was our first trip to Taos and Dona Luz but it felt like coming home. I loved it SO MUCH!!!! Everybody was lovely and our room was just incredibly beautiful!
La Dona Luz Inn was an amazing find - full of art and thoughtfully selected furnishings. The custom breakfast each morning was a treat and the coffee was great!
Charming and lovely in the heart of historic area. Very walkable. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The only downside was we were only offered breakfast one time during our stay.
Quaint, quiet, clean, cozy, comfortable, warm and friendly proprietor, historical, awesome location. Highly recommended. Third floor room, suite difficult to get to. Ya gotta see it. Great breakfast!
Amazing place! We enjoyed everything about it! Best breakfast we’ve ever had!! Owner was so nice and friendly! Housekeeper was very helpful and so sweet!!! Thanks for a magical experience for my family!!!

I am so pleased that you and your family had such a nice time! It was my pleasure visiting with you all and hearing happy voices in the inn! What a great weekend it was!
We just made another big batch of my grandmother's green chile today! Best green chile in New Mexico outside Grandma's kitchen, Huevos Rancheros in the morning!
I finally found a little help, so we are now serving breakfast twice a week...unofficially for now, until I'm sure it will last!

Being located in the center of an historic 16th century town comes with some challenges! Some of the smaller streets, driveways and parking areas were clearly intended for donkey carts and not extremely large vehicles like your almost 20 foot long crew cab Dodge truck! Normal sized vehicles have little trouble navigating the free parking and you seemed to manage just fine with a little effort.
Your immaculate room was well-appointed with modern appliances, like the mini-split A/C, but what really sets it apart is the wonderful art collection…including original works by famous artists, 18th & 19th c. icons and furniture and other items from Spain and Old Mexico. As a recent guest put it, “this place is an art museum masquerading as an inn”!
Rating this wonderful little inn a "2" is a bit disappointing!
We can't say enough about the beauty, uniqueness, location, service. Paco was great, the room was great, well, everything was. We highly recommend this beautiful and unique hotel and would stay there in a heartbeat if we are even back in Paos.

You are the reason I work as hard as I do providing travelers this unique lodging experience!
Have a great summer!
Cute property. Old and under some construction here and there but charming. Don’t expect a modern facility, so if you’re fine with quirky you will like it. Room was decent sized and comfortable

The bnb is warmly decorated. Walking distance to many nearby restaurants and shops. No breakfast due to staff shortage. Owner Paco let us use the kitchen facility.
Loved this property -- felt like we were staying at an Art Gallery. Fantastic Host -- very helpful in sharing details of the area and very interesting conversation regarding the history of the property and the many art pieces that come with each of the rooms. Very tastefully done!. Great room setup, lots of space and the location was superb. Very happy we stayed here and very pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!!
Paco made this an extra special place. His love for his Bed and Breast and the special touches such as historical artifacts and art in our room were very sweet. He seems to love being able to connect his establishment with the culture of the area not only by antiques but also by supporting local artists.
I loved the location with easy access to the central historic area. Parking was tight, but functional. I hope Paco soon has enough staff so he can again offer breakfast with the bed.
The most beautiful, romantic room in which I've ever stayed.Loaded with original paintings, incredible historic architecture, every detail done with loving care.

It is a historic building with the owner having a long and rich history with it and the community. If I ever go back to Taos, I will certainly stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us! It was a pleasure meeting you! Paco
When we arrived at La Dona Luz hotel we saw an old adobe style building in an equally old neighborhood. We were not prepared for the beauty and comfort we would find as we opened the door. The Inn has been lovingly cared for. Every amenity we wanted was there. The furnishings and artwork throughout our 3 story “room” were beautiful. The room was actually like a mini apartment with living area and full kitchen on the first floor, bedroom, bath, dressing room and sitting area on the second floor and a rooftop patio complete with a hot tub, just for us. The Inn keeper Paco was friendly and helpful and the location perfect. We could easily walk to restaurants, shops and museums. We would highly recommend this Inn.
