Location great but what you see on the internet is not what you get. Furniture's outdated rooms need to be updated for the rates they ask for and the plumbing system needs to be upgraded. The toilet backs up after each use. The next person has to wait at least 20 minutes for the toilet to fully flush to use the toilet. Front desk said that is the norm. Pool and cabana hours were closed at 7 even though it says 10pm and the regular pool was freezing. Daily rate is way too much for what they claim they have. We would’ve been better off in a Quality Inn or similar definitely cheaper. Will NEVER come back to this hotel.

Fridge didn’t work in room, dirty towels, door was crooked and had to be shoved shut, paint chipping in bathtub, toiletries not provided. Dirty curtains( looked like a bloody handprint). Location great, lobby great, service good. Rooms need work!! A lot!!

The hotel location is great, but the hotel its self is horrible the rooms need major updating and the hallways smelled like throw up, the room walls were dirty and the restroom the walls had water damage the bathtub was damaged it was horrible.

Second time here. Had I read the newest reviews there’s no way I’d ever stay in this hotel. Great view but it’s not worth the money. This is a motel 6 and that’s being generous.

The property was a great location. The front desk staff were great. There were no umbrellas around hotel pool and it was in the sun all afternoon. We approached the WTR staff to request one and they were a little aggressive in denying us. After a second visit to the front desk one umbrella was brought to the pool.

Our room at the Godfrey was very nice and had been recently renovated. Our balcony overlooked the water and it was a nice perk to sit here and enjoy a coffee. Nice pool area as well. Would go back

Filthy room. Dry vomit on the bathroom wall and light switch. No vent fan in the bathroom. Dirty walls throughout the room. One dimly lit mirror. No other mirrors in the room. Hole in the ceiling. Sink drain broken. Would not drain. Stopper stuck closed. Tub faucet dripped constantly. Room phone did not work. Attached restaurant sneaks in gratuity then hands you the device on the page asking for tip. Paid $45 for a beer and chicken strips. No housekeeping unless requested. 65$ resort fee on top of room rate. Not sure for what. No free access to hotel pool during the week. Over priced drinks. Angel soft TP. And lastly. A random $15 dollar charge to my card during my stay. I’ll be watching it for fraudulent activity now. Do not stay here.

There is a "daytime swim/dance party" at an adjacent building on the weekends. Hotel said they started up in March for spring break and go all summer. DJ plays hip hop dance/techno music at unbearable volume from noon until 8-10pm. Unless you enjoy listening to for at least 8 hours straight, we would not recommend staying during summer hours. Lobby and common areas are pleasant and updated. View of the bay from balcony was the best part. Room was very dated and in poor repair. Grab bar in shower was so loose we were afraid to use for support. Toilet slow to flush and loose on floor. Had we not already paid in advance, we would have left before we unloaded our bags. Overall, "NO" we would not stay here again.

This property is very outdated. Furniture in poor condition (dressers and nightstands). Bathrooms are very dingy, grout nasty, bathtub is old with no stopper and would back up with water each time you shower. Beds were nice and comfortable.

Our first room was not clean at all. The walls were dirty, the floor was dirty and was not sweep at all. Our bathroom was dirty and did not look like it was cleaned. Our toilet did not flush properly. So we called maintenance to come fix it but they could not fix it so we had to get a new room. In our new room our bathroom tub/shower had mold in the shower area. The toilet did not work properly in this room either. Our second room telephone did not work to call the front desk, so we had to walk downstairs to speak with staff about it. There were other guest staying across the hall who had kids and they were screaming at 6am all the way until check out time at 11am. We only stayed here for two days and we had a terrible experience. The one great thing about the stay was the view of the water, which was my sole reason for booking this location.

the phone in the room didn't work, and a couple drawers on the dresser was stuck closed. The property's a little run down. I didn't know about the $23 a day parking or hotel fee. I was disappointed about this. I also looked up breakfast but they had a pay for breakfast but no free stuff.

I had to move from one room on the 4th floor due to the smell of mold and the plastic tiles on the floor was coming off the ground. This hotel has to be shut down. The bed in the second room made me itch like something was biting me. The shower was peeling it had conditioner but no shampoo. Dust all over. The second room also had the fake tile peeling but not as bad as the first floor. Also the carpets in the main entrance and hallway were all spotted and dirty so were the sofas all stained. Parking is not secure anyone can come in. The hotel reeked of marijuana. Stay at the Hyatt or Westin. The air conditioning is attached to the window the filters and the unit has not been cleaned so much dust and mold you’re breathing that all in. For this price nightly it was not worth the agony and deception through the pictures. This place is like a motel. Not a hotel and I was embarrassed to stay here. I’m curious how Cedric Gervais ever agreed to dj at an upcoming show in this s*ithole. I doubt he would ever stay in a room even for a minute here. lol money must be running out lol

The view of the Ocean from the balcony was nice, and the location is great. However, the first room we checked into still had trash all over, and one of the beds was not made. The room they switched us too was mediocre. The floors were VERY dirty, and there were bugs in the sink. The railing on our balcony was broken so it was kind of an eye sore while trying to enjoy the view. I guess for a cheaper hotel- it could have been worse. I just wish it was cleaner.

My room had roaches and a terrible smell. It is in need of a serious revamping. It send to be misplaced for its location. I’ve stayed at the Grand Hyatt not too far away and it was wonderful. I didn’t imagine the Godfrey would be this disgusting

You get what you pay for! Words of advice....if they are hosting a party at the adult pool/bar area....don't stay at the property! We were completely unable to sleep our first night (of 2) due to the after-party that continued until sunrise. I think we may have even caught a contact high for the immense pot smoking the entire evening. One person was even run over in the parking lot from a drunk driver. The road noise is horrible too with constant car/motorcycle racing. The property itself wasn't the worse I've stayed in, but I will never make plans to return to this property.

The staff was very nice but the proud of my head was when I got there they gave me the wrong one. They quickly corrected it they put me in another room. But in this room, the telephone didn’t work when they were informed about the phone stated they were going to have it fixed soon as possible it never got fixed Bathroom was horrible. The tub was so nasty. I refuse to take a shower and they had roaches. And their brochure or my online advertisement stated that they had a casino. They didn’t stated that they had service they didn’t. They had people running up and down the hallways at 12am to 1 o’clock in the morning

The property was in good location, however was surprised in 2024 that in our oceanfront king room there was no usb ports to plug in phones or electronic devices. Rooms could use some upgrades. Patio doors were alittle subpar and bathroom sink seemed to not have sufficient pressure. Overall experience was average. Not sure if we would stay again.
