Dead Sea escape.
Everything was smooth. The management was extremely helpful and very nice. The room was clean and the cabin was cool and fresh. They provided us with Candles and creams as well to repel the flies. There is a market in this community that has everything very interesting market. I bought lamb chops and steak and chicken liver and bbq in front of the cabin. We had a nice time with kids.

Quaint cabin close to Dead Sea
This is a cabin in a remote corner of Israel, not far from the border with Jordan. Overall, the location is good for trips to the Dead Sea and the archeological sites nearby, notably the Masada fortress.

Beautiful Cabin
Although a little tough getting through the security gate (both in and out) the facilities were great, as well as our "innkeeper" who was always concerned for our comfort and ready to answer any questions we had. Walked to dinner down the street our first night to the "camping area" for pizza and beer and some conversation with very friendly people. Terrific whirlpool bath

The hotel IS NOT in the Dead Sea
To get to the Dead Sea you have to travel at least 30 min from the hotel. There is NOT a restaurant nearby! It advertises itself as near the Dead Sea and Masada and it is NOT! Safety was a concern. Did not sleep well waiting for someone to steal from me. The owner is a very nice Lady. The hotel on the inside is at it shows in the pictures.

Nice cabin. Close to Dead Sea and Massada
Visiting Israel for the first time. Spent 2 nights to see the Dead Sea and Massada. Excellent location. You will need transportation, though I think a bus goes there. Very quaint little town, with most amenities.

Dead Sea cabins
If you are tired of the big hotels, Belfer's Dead Sea cabins are a welcome respite. The accommodations are located in a picturesque area and are clean and comfortable for groups up to 5 people. However, the cabins are not near any beach area; and meals must be self-made (which was fine for breakfast) or obtained at the "hotel area" that's twenty minutes away by car. (If you don't have a car, you'll need to make your meals in the tiny kitchen area.) Even without nearby places to eat, it's a nice place to unwind and relax on the veranda.

Highly recommended
If you want to stay for a few days in Dead Sea area and do not want to be in the tourists packed resorts, this is definitely an excellent choice. It's located in a gated community (Moshav). About 45 to 50 minutes drive to Masada and even less distance to the public beach for a Dead Sea dip. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Only one note, if you plan to arrive late and want to have dinner after arrival, try to book the dinner one day ahead. The food will be delivered to your cabin.

Clean, neat, down to earth, delightful!!!
The owners are house proud and friendly. Our kids loved the upstairs area for their sleeping. Mattresses were firm, bathrooms totally clean and equipment was good. The only thing the place needed was a toaster. Overall, it's location was absolutely charming. A great alternative to the plastic hotels down the drag. Very original and real.

Excellent Choice
Wonderful stay. Welcomed by Mrs. Belfer who offered to do our laundry! Cabin was very comfortable, with a large whirlpool in bathroom and a large flat screen TV. No restaurants in town, but she arranged choices for a good hot meal delivered to our door. Highly recommend!

Best Experience in Israel
I randomly booked this because I thought it would be interesting to say I've stayed at a log cabin at the Dead Sea, and I'm SO GLAD I did. My first trip to Israel, I wanted to do touristy things but stay in a secluded place for part of the trip as well, and this was perfect. It is in a very small village about 25 miles from the main Dead Sea resorts. It is not close to anything but a small grocery store, so be prepared to drive if you don't want to cook (I HIGHLY recommend renting a car!)! The couple that owns the cabins are the nicest, most helpful people I've ever met. If you have a concern about anything at all, they will help you. They even arranged a rental car for us. I cannot say enough good about them! The cabins were clean and looked EXACTLY like the pictures :) I think 5 people could easily sleep in one cabin. The only warning that I have is to MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT THEM BEFORE GOING! I made the mistake of just thinking I would find them from the bus stop, but I now know that would be impossible. All you have to do is call, and they will come pick you up (I did not have international service on my phone so a nice woman on the bus called for me). Otherwise, everything was perfect. We are definitely planning on returning soon and will most likely stay there every night and just drive everywhere else. It's that great!

Charming experience for adventurers
Our stay at the Belfer's Cabins was a wonderful experience from every angle. The cabins have a charming atmosphere, and the couple in charge is very welcoming and helped us to organize hikes and getting around. The village is very quiet, with an emphasis on agriculture and provides a much more authentic experience than other Dead Sea resorts.

A hideaway....
Belfer's offers its visitors a feel of the Kibbutz life.. It was truly a wonderful experience staying in a rustic and quaint cabin complete with the comforts of a simple home. The owners are such friendly and accommodating people. You can borrow a bike and ride around the neighborhood. Walk through their farm and pick fresh vegetables. Have fun with the cats and dogs that roam freely. Overall, our 2-night stay was great and worth it!

Amazing cabins close to the Dead Sea
My boyfriend and I stayed here when visiting the Dead Sea and we loved it! The cabins are large and comfortable which was a nice departure from the small hotels we had been staying in the rest of our trip. You had supplies for cooking and great porch to sit outside and relax on. The cabin has an amazing bathroom with a large jet tub, extra sleeping areas in the upstairs and a little living room. There is a small grocery store (with limited hours) and is about a 30 min drive to the Dead Sea spas. The owner was great and recommended some great hikes for us while we were there. Next time we plan to spend more than 2 days here for sure! Easily our favorite hotel out of the entire vacation.

Not convenient- bring groceries!
I missed small print: 20 min from Dead Sea! The cabin itself was great room for a family, but nothing was close for activities or eating. Had equipment for cooking, but I hadn't planned meals--I don't cook on vacation :-) At the far South end of Sea- unless going to Eilat- not convenient. Also- in a gatted area- couldn't get out morn we left, had to wait for someone else to come.

An excellent alternative to traditional hotels
We decided to stay at the Belfer's in order to feel what was to be in a moshav (agricultural community). It ended up being an excellent decision. Although we just stayed there for a few hours (we arrived in the evening and left in the morning the next day), we enjoyed the hospitality of the owner, who welcomed us with dates from her own palm trees in spite of the late hour. The cabin is very nice, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. She has pride on her property and it shows. The location was a little bit difficult to find but she helped us over the phone. It is totally off the beaten path but it is at a convenient distance from Massada and the Dead Sea. I hope some day we could go back and spend more time there.

Comfortable, Affordable, and Great Service
We arrived very late at night -- around 1am -- and Michal was very kind and accommodating (we had given her a heads up). The cabin was very comfortable and more than met our expectations. I should have checked the map better before I booked because the drive from Jerusalem was long and not well lit at night, but I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Thank you!
We had some amazing days in Belfers Cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. The Belfers is som nice and helpful, and the lady was so cute to us all the time. The cabin is situated in a Kibbutz south of the dead sea and a rental car is needed. The place is so beautiful and relaxing and cabin very cozy. Perfect for a familiy, friends or just as us a couple on the road in beautiful Israel. We will strongly recomend the pace and hope to return some day.

Turismo agrícola no Mar Morto
