On snorkel trips you’re likely to see spinner dolphins year-round, along with parrotfish, coral and sea snakes. This part of the island is fantastic for spotting dolphins in the warm water just offshore. Between July and October, admire spectacular humpback whales that regularly swim just 50 metres (160 feet) from shore.
Water temperature will range from a low of 25 C (77 F) from June to October to a high of 29 C (84 F) from November to May. Bring New Zealand cash for activities, as many Niue services do not accept credit cards.
