"The view of the volcano was immaculate every morning of my 2 night stay. Thankful for the staff for getting me a corner room on the 11th floor. Laundry was easy to use, bathtub was awesome as it also had a view of the volcano and after walking all day the sauna on the 1st floor was a great end of day treat!"
"The hotel looks down from a hilltop over the castle park and city and bay to the volcano. It is clearly a beloved landmark and reminded me of marquee properties in US resorts 50 years ago. Completely in a good way."
"A must place to stay if visiting Kagoshima needing easy access to train station, trams to get around the city and the airport bus. Just across the road from Kagoshima-Chou station, with underground access and above road covered walkway if raining.
Best way to get to/from airport is with the airport bus for a 40 min ride. The hotel is in the same building as the bus, with exceptionally easy access. No problems with noise or security as rooms start on level 8. Reception is on level 7 with card access to floors with rooms.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely a must to book a room with Sakurajima view, as sunrise views are must see with a smouldering volcano. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again on next visit to Kagoshima."
"The rooms are huge and modern. Get the room that faces the volcano. All the staff are extremely nice and helpful. The bar on the top floor is really nice too."
"Great Hotel. Very clean & spacious. Staff were very helpful. Great location to all amenities. Would highly recommend this hotel to future guests. Enjoyed my stay there very much."
"First off, we dropped our luggage which was so convenient with the hotel attached directly to JR station. The self help luggage storage is easily done with any "chip" card, e.g. Suica or credit card. Staffs were very helpful. During check in, staff helped to get a missing stamp from other hotel for a JR passport promotion program for us. Room was clean and good space even we just booked a double room. Breakfast located at the ground floor was great especially with the shabu shabu pork. Only thing missing at the hotel was the public bath but location trumps it. Shopping and restaurant are all walkable reached. Highly recommended for all JR pass Travellers."
"Old Hotel, 70s and not renovated,
low price has a reason.
The onsen in pictures and pool were dirty green algae water!
Breakfast was standard Japanese
Parking on premises available
Location not central and hard to reach near the port."
