The hotel seems on the older than other hotels around the area. However, the staff was very helpful and likeable. The free shuttle was awesome. The check-in was easy and just asked for ID and got the keys.

The place is good. Like the hot spring bath in the room. Will recommend to friend for the stay. Area to improve is to clean the dust at corners and to give awareness on feeder service provided by the resort.

Even though it is an old building, the condition is still quite good. The rooms are also very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately it does not provide an elevator so people with problematic legs are not suitable to stay at this hotel.

Hotel was clean and accomidating. I had a private hottub which was amazing!! There was no elevator and I was on the fifth floor...so I definitely got my steps in!! Overall it was very nice and I highly recommend it!

The hotel was beautiful, and the hot spring bathtubs were refreshing. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and made it easy for a larger family traveling. They offered a shuttle service and the breakfast was delicious.

Great place for private hot spring experience. Staff were helpful and friendly. Convenient shuttle service - just call the resort (from Beitou or Xinbeitou stations). Will be able to enjoy a short walk to Xinbeitou station to enjoy the sights (museum, library, public hot spring and park). Breakfast was traditional taiwanese fare of porridge and buns. There was no lift for guests (stayed at top floor - 5th floor) however staff will porter luggage.

The hotel staff give their best and work very hard. We came to hike in the national park and to experience the hot springs. The hotel is quite fine for this purpose. We had a two night stay. Car service to the MRT station is provided which is important as the hotel is uphill and away from town. They drove us down to the station with our luggage. This was much appreciated. This is a Taiwanese tourist area. Thus, at the hotel and around town, English is rare. Travel is an adventure; so be prepared!

In-room Hot springs bath is a plus for the reasonable room price. TW is all about eat when you go around the city, hence Taiwanese porridge as breakfast is a good choice for me and my spouse. Shuttle service to / fro Xinbeitou and Beitou Station. Not advisable to walk to property from Xinbeitou Station as it is going up the slope but coming down is a pleasure walk for us.

There's bad odour coming out from the drainage in the bath tub. also, there's a cockroach in my room. There's no lift in the hotel, so will have to walk up all the way to level 5. However, in overall, the facilities of the hotel is satisfactory with very friendly staffs; the staffs helped to carry the baggage up and down the hotel and vehicle.

Not convenient if you have elderly traveling with you. They have shuttle service between hotel-Xinbeitou/Beitou mrt but only 1 x 7 seater. Front desk and driver is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is limited quantity, not a wide spread. Don’t expect too much. In room hot spring is small, can use hotel's public hot spring but have to book in advance.

It looks like a family run business to us. We did not clarify. Staff are all very nice and helpful. We love the warmly serves shuttle car service! It helps us a lot forth and back to hotel and metro. Make the trip easily connected with public transportation. Their served breakfast is very traditional Chinese style with congee, pickles which are not my favor and not warm enough in serving. Only one western style they serve is bread slices with butter and jam. But it tasted a little weird and likely expired. Overall, it is a comfortable homely hotel. They did not open public hot spring during our stay, we could only enjoy our hot spring at room like having bath but with hot sprint water.

Gorgeous hotel had a lovely location close to hiking and the staff was very friendly, even though they had limited English. The shuttle was a plus, as it was quite a hike from the metro. Breakfast was tasty, but much more suited to local palate. The manto was fresh and yummy, and the congee with pumpkin was good. There are lots of stairs, so those with limited mobility should be aware. I did enjoy the in-room hot springs tub. Overall it was a nice weekend.

Feel like home
The room might look old but all in good condition. Hot spring in room is very good, big enough for two pax. Water is hot enough to too. Their staffs are superb . Hotel breakfast is those Taiwanese. Very family style. Love this place

Good service and very near to Thermal Valley
The staff is really nice and friendly. Due to my mum legs issue we had requested a lower floor, and we got upgraded to a bigger room. They offer shuttle service from and to the town which are excellent so you do not have to climb up to the hill. Value for money.

Gorgeous hot spring
The resort focuses on the original style of a Japanese hot spring, the historic Japanese bath house is being renovated by the city. The room has both tatami mats and standard bed. The very nice aspect is that the room has a stone hot tub with the hot spring water tapped into the room. They also have private outdoor tubs for your use. The staff are excellent and attentive with shuttle service into tow (we choose to walk in the beautiful mountain town) and a nice breakfast.

We have a family trip from Canada. Staff service is very good, especially the shuttle bus services. Location is good, walkable distance to most of the attractions. Mattress is a little bit hard and the restaurant is a little bit small. If the price can be reduced, then I will rate A-.

Superb service
All we can say is WOW! The service at Gorgeous Hot Springs was outstanding. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean. It is a 15 minute walk to the MRT; however, with enough notice ( 2 minutes and a smile) the staff will drive you to and from the hotel. There are hot spring baths on the property and private hot spring baths in each room. We rate this place a 9 out of 10 only because the source for the hot water for showers and baths is from the hot spring. But cool showers were excellent after a hot day of exploring. We will definitely stay here again.

Warm rustic style hotel
We stayed in the economy double room. It was a pleasant surprise that we got upgraded upon arrival (Most probably my family and I booked two nights stay and it was on weekdays). Hotel provides shuttle service to two nearest MRT stations in the day and early evening. There is a ready tub with hot spring water in each room so we can enjoy anytime, any day. Free WIFI and breakfast option is available. Staff are friendly and willingly to assist wherever they can. Rustic style rooms but equipped with modern facilities and reasonable pricing.

Nice hot spring hotel if you are not so picky
Hotel is at a hilltop and there is no lift access due to it. We were staying at 3rd floor and have to climb all the way up there. Not so convenient for old folks. But hotel staffs were all very helpful and brought up and down all our luggages without even accepting tips. Like the hot spring tub in the room and the beds were big. At one time the room was pretty stuffy and I tried to adjust the air conditioner but to no avail, so I on the fan provided but it made too much noise throughout the night. Breakfast was decent but dont expect wide spread. Simple taiwanese porridge and pickles. Only have toasted bread with butter and jam. Overall stay was satisfactory.

Efficient staff, value for money.
Efficient n friendly staff. Value for money. Location is near places of interest. They provide transport / pick up services to and from the station and the places of interest, food / market area. Resort comes with public hot spring tub. No lift access to the room, the staff will help to carry our luggaige up n down. Breakfast very local, lack variety, there's still room for improvement.

The service was really great! Although I arrived at night, they offered free shuttle from MRT station. It takes about 10 to 15 mins to walk from the station. The hot spring spa tub in the room is really plus. The breakfast was also delicious. They had local taiwanese foods and toasts.

PROS: - personal hotspring in your room - great service. helped arrange for rides and took my bags up to my room before check-in time. - provided breakfast even though I left before the start of the day - short walking distance to the major Beitou sites - free parking CONS: - no elevator. the hotspring soak should give your legs relief, though!

Thank you for choosing us to stay and comment. On the hot water temperature, Yin our hot springs for the natural, so the temperature can not be directly adjusted, the current hot spring water temperature is about 55 degrees C on and off. Look forward to your visit again.

Friendly staffs, pleasant and clean hotel
The hotel staffs are very friendly and the service is good. Free transport to/pickup from MRT. Hotel room is clean and simple, just the bathroom/toilet quite run down and the hotspring bathtub is pretty small, may be this area can be improved by re-furnish the whole bathroom to make it looks better. Free breakfast is simple and acceptable, it will be better if they can serve different dishes from yesterday so as we won't feel tired of the food if staying for more than 1 day.
