We were just stopping for the night on our way north from Wellington. Huge room with super comfy beds. Lovely and warm despite the chilly overnight temps. Would definitely stay again

The unit was excellent, well stocked and clean. However the man on reception did not have a very welcoming manner. I'm not saying he was not efficient in issuing the key. A smile would have been nice.

We have stayed here many times over the past 15 years. The mattresses are getting very soft, like past their best now. Slight mould on some window sills, not good for family asthma. Very old smoke smelling reception area. Still very good rooms and service. Good value and friendly people.

Friendly and clean. A convenient stop travelling south. Clean room, quiet location. Recommend dinner at the local pub. Would have liked a softer pillow though, mattress ok.
