"The location is great …walking distance to the beach, pier, stores and restaurants..the rooms are spacious and varandas are also a great size.. pool is cozy and clean.. the food at the restaurant could have a better tasty, it’s pricey and they take quite a long time to bring your food ..I would recommend other local restaurants instead.. but in general we would recommend this hotel."

"The hotel overall was excellent except that even though the hotel says that the resort fees include 2 beach chairs per room, there were no chairs available for the 3 hours we were at the beach. this was disappointing because it did affect our beach experience. Otherwise the stay was good."

"Stayed here 4th of July weekend. The staff was lovely and everything was clean. We used the free shuttle to take us back-and-forth on the island several times so we didn't even have to take our car out of valet parking. The breakfast was awesome too. Excellent stay. Highly recommend."

"We had a great vacation. Clearwater was amazing as Always! Our hotel was very convenient to all the walkable attractions. We had a parking garage for our vehicle and it hardly moved being we just walked every where. Only complaint i could honestly say was the water in our hotel and surrounding areas had a strong sulfur smell and taste. It may be just something that the island uses in its water system. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend it. Thanks Hyatt for a great Stay!!"

"The Opal Sands is a gorgeous hotel with impeccable customer service. I received text messages while on site from staff asking how my stay was and if there was anything they could do to make it better. The pool provides a front row view of the gulf and we saw dolphins and manatees right from our pool lounger! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. My son loved the fitness center, too. We both enjoyed the balcony with comfortable hairs that allowed us to leisurely watch the boats at sunset. This is the best hotel on the beach’"
