The hotel fronts onto the Main Street and parallel to the train tracks, which makes the train accessible but noisy starting at 6 am.

Great hotel and very friendly people. It's just a few minutes walk to the station for the train shuttle to Zermatt. Nice quiet environment. Good breakfast!

What a quaint hotel!! Very close to the train to get to Zermatt. Very good breakfast. Friendly, accomodating front desk. Unless you are Asian. There was a marked difference between how I was treated compared with some Asian guests whom I suspect did not feel welcomed. The pool and hot tub are unique and quite nice! Rooms are not huge, but adequate.

Great Stay
Fantastic place and beautiful location. Clean and cozy rooms. Great view of the mountains off the balcony. Breakfast was really good. And close train ride to the Zermatt.

The hotel was fine but not worth what we paid for it. Our paperwork said 336 Swiss Francs for two nights and they charged me 348 and I had nothing extra. The bathroom was so small. Would not stay there again must be something better.

Hotel is a block away from the train station. Clean room, good breakfast, and perfect location. All I needed to get me to the next day of traveling!

The spa facility was great! Breakfast was excellent too! The lady that checked us in was absolutely helpful and very kind . Being that it was late and looking tired she graciously allowed us to use the spa facility! We love her !

Very satisfied.
We felt very welcomed and looked after. Even though we were later than the normal checking-in time Rose helped us out. The breakfasts we enjoyed and the location was excellent close to the railway station. The beds were pretty firm but not too hard that effected our sleep. If we visit here again we would not look anywhere else.

Great alternative to an expensive hotel in Zermatt
We stayed in Tasch because it was cheaper than in Zermatt, and it was an easy walk and train ride from Walliserhof to Zermatt so it was definitely worth it for us. Hotel and service was great. The shower was a little small, but other than that we were very pleased. Complimentary buffet breakfast was wonderful - bread, sliced meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee/tea/hot chocolate. We unfortunately did not pack bathing suits, but the pool and hot tub looked very nice. It's the last of several hotels along the same road, which means that it has the best view of the mountains because there's nothing in the way - it made our breakfast even better!

Great jumping off point for Matterhorn!
This is the perfect stopping off point for Matterhorn without the craziness and prices of Zermatt. We arrived a couple hours before check-in, but were able to get into a room. Front desk gentleman was very friendly. Room was spacious and the hotel is at the edge of town so they have excellent views up the mountain. We had a car (free parking a plus), but the train to Zermatt is a three minute walk, and restaurants are also walking distance. Breakfast was included and plentiful - meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, bread, juice, etc. The hot tub was lukewarm, maybe they needed to heat it up before we got in. The only downside is hearing the train since it's so close, but the town is so small that probably anywhere you hear the train. We'd recommend this hotel!

Overall a good stay. Good service, good breakfast and nice pool/spa/sauna area. Bathrobes and slippers were provided in the room. Easy walk to the train station. The only thing to note was we ordered 3 double rooms, all were different in size and one was significantly smaller than the others.
