I really liked the location near old Tacoma and Ruston. It felt like staying over at a friend's house, warm and welcoming, but not romantic or pretentious. The traffic noise fades away after dark and the garden stream gurgles and chatters to mask it during the day. Gracious and congenial hosts.
Very nice and clean place to stay. They have an amazing breakfast buffet.
Lovely property - quiet, clean and spacious rooms. Wish I traveled this way more often!
I like the gym, but it would be nice to also use a pool and/or hot tub and/or sauna. The offered $5 day pass to a nearby YMCA is just not good enough. The young lady who checked us in was nice, but she didn't know about the VIP benefits, so i had to request them, and she still did not give us a room ...
I was surprised and very grateful when Patsy called/texted before we arrived with very detailed instructions for parking and entry. It would have been very difficult to figure out on our own. Music was streaming when we arrived. Nice touch. The access to the pier with lots of seating is a real bonus ...
When you need the utmost convenience while in Tacoma, booking a room at a hotel close to the airport is the best bet. You are able to grab your gear from baggage claim and check into your room before your fellow passengers even leave the airport. Plus, you don't have to worry about paying for a taxi, or trying to follow directions in a place you aren't familiar with. Making your way through Tacomacould be intimidating for someone new to the area. Reserving a stay at a Tacoma airport hotel washes all the troubles away, whether you are making Tacoma one leg of your yearly vacation like the hundreds of travelers who visited over the past year, brought the whole family along, or are in town for business.
