Had an excellent stay at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel! Room was great with an amazing view. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Would definitely come back 10/10

Lovely clean and new hotel in a great quiet location at Darling harbour. Everything you need is available, and the buffet breakfast is fabulous, with lovely hot barista made coffee. Would stay again.

I had rhinitis, so my nose was stuffy and I sneezed a lot, but the amenities and room conditions provided were so good

Construction happening right under the hotel made our experience really bad. We chose this hotel for 2 nights and paid for the room with the harbour view to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. Every morning there was construction starting from 7.30 am. Would not recommend anyone to choose this place if you’re a light sleeper. Spend your money somewhere else
Nice rooms and convenient location. Excellent breakfast. As at early April there are works taking place by the pool. Would recommend generally with one caveat- its worth noting that (unlike many other hotel chain loyalty schemes) Accor will not give loyalty points for stays booked via Expedia.

I expected it’s a 5 star hotel but I found a few small insects in the toilet & the washbasin was clogged….. other than it’s a great hotel.

The room does not provide bottled water, and it is disappointing to use environmentally friendly reasons.Why was it provided on the day of the check in?
Outdoor construction greatly affects rest.

We stayed at this hotel because of the large mall and numerous restaurants and cafes; it turned out the mall had been demolished and restaurants closed; ongoing construction every day and each taxi ride to anywhere was very expensive. Nice hotel but extremely inconvenient

Light rail service is literally across the hotel, with one direction to Chinatown and another direction to fish market. On the other side of the hotel is the water front of Darling Harbour. Highly recommend

This is a very nice lux hotel in a great location. We had no issues in our 3 night stay. The beds were super comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. Highly recommend!

Great location and immaculate hotel.
Didn’t like the knock on the door in the morning for “checking mini bar” from the staff although I had turned on “Do Not Disturb” button.
It was a family getaway, the room was very comfortable with amazing views of the harbour. The hotel is well placed, very close to all the restaurants & entertainments. The service was impressive. All the staffs were very friendly, accommodating, efficient & professional. Overall experience was amazingly awesome. We would come back again.
Always feels special staying at the Sofitel Darling Harbour. The staff are wonderful, always helpful and visible, anticipating your needs. The pool is great, the Champagne bar served us excellent cocktails, and the club sandwich from room service is delicious!
Cons:
# It is expensive: 500 AUD a night for 2 double beds.
# Our room faces West, the sun is at its peak in the afternoon. The room is hot. The air conditioning is not enough to cool the room in the afternoon. Can only go down to 18 Deg C
# Parking and bottled water is not included. Additional 86 AUD per night parking.
Pro:
# The hotel is new and clean.
# Concierge service is excellent.
The rest is average.
We visited the Sofitel darling harbour for a 5 night stay with our three month old and couldn’t have been happier.
This hotel is in a great location and hotel staff are exceptional
I especially loved the soft toy and baby slippers gifted to us on arrival
