Close to many dozen great food options and a very short walk to the Sydney tourist bus route. The room was clean and spacious. The staff helped move us to a new room on day 1 to get the walk in shower we reserved 60 days ago for accessibility needs. The breakfast buffet could not be more convenient 15 steps from the elevator.

Great hotel for staying close enoigh to the shopping in town but also the tourist areas of darling harbour and circular quay. The vibrancy of chinatown is amazing and public transport is handy and consistent.

The recent experience of staying at Holiday inn at Sydney was average, service from staff was not impressive, as I booked premium room but the T.v was not smart t.v, when I approached the staff to upgrade they told me that the whole hotel has the same old T.v which was quite shocking.Moreover house-keeping services wasn’t impressive as well three days in a room no vacuuming had been done in the room. Breakfast was included which was great but no dine in option was available. The surrounding area was quite nice , close to shops and transport facilities which was great.

Great location close to shopping and lots of cafes and restaurants all within short walking distance. Light rail just around the corner. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful with luggage storage, booking taxi and very efficient check-in/out service.

Lovely place to stay, right in the middle of China Town with walkable access to all kinds of markets and restaurants. Also very close to all kinds of public transit. The facilities themselves are a bit on the older side but it's still a great place to stay.

We requested room service/ making beds for each days we stayed. I understand they don’t do full service but they did not even clean cups. They only realised on the last day to put water bottles in the room. Room was booked for 4 people but 2 days in a row there were only 3 towels and he had to request it. Express service also could be better . Location is really good. Parking is not in the same building it’s offered via a third party a bit further from hotel and the third party service is not great which unfortunately is not hotel issue.

Ok but toilet cleanliness is a major issue
"Hotel is decently comfortable and conveniently located near many attractions. However, the bathroom facilities are underwhelming. We encountered a surprising number of fruit flies in the shower area, despite being on the tenth floor, along with other insects. This could indicate a problem with the plumbing. Additionally, the shower room's door handle came off and, although it was quickly repaired with silicone, it broke again soon after. There's also a persistent musty odor in the corridor.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Darling Harbour. We wanted convenience and this property has it. It a minute walk to the trams and it’s surrounded by stores, cafes and restaurants. It was a beautiful spot. The service we received daily was amazing by all staff. My husband and I had no issues with any staff. Everyone greeted us with respect and kindness. Listened and responded to our queries. This building is a little old but it’s well maintained. The only thing was we didn’t realise our room didn’t have a window which opened. We love fresh air coming into our room especially in the mornings, if you like the same probably check with the building about the best rooms with opening windows or even a balcony. We choose the daily breakfast deal with our room and the breakfast was wonderful. Love hot meals for breakfast and that’s what they provided. They also had a great hot beverage machine with the common hot drinks. Lovely place for a great price.

This property is at the base of Chinatown. Staff and customers were pleasant. It is not close to the Opera House and other sites for tourists. The Hop On/Off BigBus stop is close by but does not run at night and it took me 2 hours to get back, never having hopped off. They only serve breakfast for an additional fee and it’s for all nights stay or none. I would not have eaten there a second morning as the food was not hot, same choices and mediocre. So, unless you love Chinese food, stay elsewhere. The mattress felt like a thousand people had slept on it as I about rolled off the edge on either side. Moving to the middle was firm enough. Thankfully I was alone. They have two sinks, one for making coffee, I guess, if desired. Brown water spewed out of the sinks until it ran a bit. I never used the electric kettle. This is really a bargain basement property, very disappointing.

Room we checked into was mouldy, staff found us another room straight away. Some mould in this room also, but nowhere near as bad. Bathroom fills with condensation to the point where it's running down the walls after even a brief shower. Air conditioning unit shut itself off twice during our 3 night stay making the room hot and stuffy. Location is great, close to transportation and walking distance to many points in the city.

We had a family room which was spacious, but outdated. No shelves in the wardrobe so basically we lived off our suitcases. Bathroom old and a bit dirty. But the buffet breakfast was a great addition. The hotel is in Chinatown so plenty of places to eat and small convenience stores all within a walking distance. Tram stop is 5 min walk. Just over 1 km to get to the Darling Harbour a must on a Saturday for the fireworks display. Good overall.
