The Bern Altstadt is a UNESCO world heritage site, and I swear I have never seen a river more brilliantly turquoise than the River Aare, which encircles the Altstadt. The Swiss capital is a definite must for a Switzerland itinerary.

"I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. "Basic amenities & rooms, but perfect for a night before or after your trip to ZRH! The little restaurant by the hotel is great, and it's a short tram ride to the city center if you have some time to explore. Would definitely stay here again!"
