Witness master artisans create bronze idols at the ancient Swamimalai Temple, where traditional 'lost wax' techniques have thrived for centuries. Explore the nearby Sarangapani Temple in Kumbakonam with its towering gopuram, then cool off with a sweet tumbler of famous Kumbakonam degree coffee.
I’ve stayed at Chola Dynasty Hotel three times over the past three years and each visit has been consistently excellent. The rooms are safe, quiet, and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Parking is hassle-free, which is a big plus. The restaurant deserves a special mention — the food is always enjoyable and well-prepared. Overall, a reliable and welcoming place to stay, and I’ll definitely return again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sangam hotel
Quite unassuming but lovely and very helpful staff and very clean room. An oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of Thanjavur

Very nice hotel in Thanjavur very close to the Brihadisvara Temple. The bus station is behind the corner and the train station a short tuk tuk ride away. Good internet, the hotel has 2 restaurants: one vegetarian and one both vegetarian and non. I tried the vegetarian and it was too class.
