"View was excellent. The facilities were poor. They charged us extra 3 euro for city tax which was not on the booking. And if we wanted A/C would be 5 euro per day.

"Check in was good with helpful service. Hotel is in a great location and from outside looked good, even with indoor smoking (the norm in Macedonia). The view on to the lake is first rate and we had a corner suite.
However the room was tired and needing significant work. Shower that spat water, kitchen with cracked bench and exposed wires. Common areas of hotel were filthy and .
Overall a bit disappointing

"I stayed in this hotel with my daughter for a quick visit in Ohrid. The receptionists were accommodating and the restaurant staff were helpful. The food in the breakfast buffet were not great. The room was dirty & dusty. The cleaner simply empties the bin and didn't clean our room. I had to prompt her to vacuum. Our booked room was a regular room and when I saw it, it was so disappointing. My daughter & I travel quite often and I can say that it's never a 4 star standard, not even 3 star!...

"Chino was a great host! I slept very well and the room was heart and tidy. He also assisted with transfers which made for a smoother experience. Highly recommend."
"We stayed in the apartment that was recently renovated
Everything was brand new clean and very efficient
The apartment is on the second level no lift but was equipped with a king bed a sofa bed split system in both bedroom and tv room a balcony for smokers or to just sit outside and absorb the amazing Macedonian culture or to hang your clothes
A kitchen a washing machine machine utensils and a cook top
Extra linen and doonas, towels and fluffy pillows and the owner Daniel even thought of umbrellas
He is at your disposal and helps you with anything you need to ask
Communication is number one and response rate is within a couple of minutes
I absolutely loved our stay here it felt like home
And did I mention everything is almost at your door step restaurants the market shopping the lake is a 5 min walk
I cannot fault this place

"Villa Varosh is in an ideal location. Situated in the heart of the old town and close to lots of restaurants and sightseeing. It’s a no frills hotel but perfect for a casual stay with thoughtful touches like the communal kitchen downstairs with coffee making facilities. Our balcony even had a partial view of the lake which was nice."
"Beautiful views from the balcony. Wonderful location in the old town, though this obviously does mean cobbled streets and stairs to get there. Friendly and helpful owner. It does smell of smoke but once you're in your room, it is fine"
