Idyllisch gelegen und sauber

Sehr schönes, zweckmäßig gestaltetes Apartment (No 3) mit Kochnische (Grundausstattung an Geschirr sowie Spüli, Trockentuch, Bürste und Gewürze) sowie Kaffeekapselmaschine sind vorhanden. Auch Kaffeekapseln waren in ausreichender Anzahl da. Alles ist sehr sauber. Einziges kleines Manko ist der etwas unangenehme Geruch, wenn das Wasser im Waschbecken im Bad versickert. (Geruch nur beim Waschbecken, nicht in der Spüle oder Dusche). Die Dusche ist nur mit Duschvorhang abgetrennt. Aber es gelingt zu duschen, ohne alles unter Wasser zu setzen. Die ersten beiden Nächte hatten wir keine Nachbarn, in der letzten Nacht war jemand nebenan, was man leider gut hören konnte. Auf der Anlage sind Pferde untergebracht, die man auch streicheln darf. Die Besitzer haben wir vor Ankunft kontaktiert. Oddur hat uns sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Anlage ist etwa 5km von Selfoss entfernt und idyllisch gelegen. Wir würden wiederkommen. Danke!

Great stay! It was a little hard to find. It’s the residence at the end of the drive. The host was great. Room was very clean. There are Icelandic horses on the property which we were welcomed to visit and pet. There was a small kitchenette available for use as well.

Wir hatten ein absolut winziges Apartment mit einem klitzekleinen Fenster. Für 2 Tage Aufenthalt und 2 Personen die auf der Durchreise sind und sich selbst versorgen, war es definitiv zu klein! Fast schon unverschämt für den Preis. Den Vermieter haben wir nicht zu Gesicht bekommen. Angeblich bekommt man vor der Anreise eine Mail mit den Check-In Daten. Bei uns hatte das der Vermieter anscheinend vergessen und schien auch generell mit unserer Buchung (als wir ihn dann telefonisch erreicht hatten), ziemlich überfordert. Erst hieß es telefonisch wir könnten in ein schönes großes Apartment. Als wir unsere Koffer etc. dann dort einquartiert hatten kam der zweite Anruf, er hätte sich vertan- wir sollen in das andere „Kämmerchen“. Unsere mit Abstand schlechteste Unterkunft in Island.

Best Horse house outside of Texas

Great place to stay! It is situated on a horse ranch and the views and proximity to the South Coast sights is awesome!

Apartment 4 is the smaller of the three I believe but it suited our needs perfectly. It was warm, bed was comfortable, washroom was functional, kettle, stove and sink all worked perfectly. The best deal in my opinion in the South Island. Property is located on a horse farm with very minimal light pollution. Even with the full moon on October 25, we were able to see the Northern Lights pretty clearly with just a short walk to the parking spots. Host was very responsive with emails and concerns we had and would highly recommend anyone looking for affordable accommodations to consider this place.
