A grand old hotel. Has seen better days, but still has an aura of elegance. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Looks like they’ve done some updates to the building, while trying to maintain some aspects of historic features. Fair for price of stay.
This was a lovely vintage hotel. We loved the history and the location. I would recommend this and would return. We were very impressed at the value. Loved the restaurant attached and being able to walk places downtown.
Historic hotel in cool downtown location. Not fancy, but more than sufficient. The shower was excellent. Super hot and great pressure. Diner downstairs was very convenient and good.
It was an old hotel, but it was pretty clean. Definitely had an ambiance of history. The bed was comfortable. Parking was odd, but seemed ok for safety. The little restaurant attached had great home-cooked food. The continental breakfast looked decent enough to get your day going.
Such a solid location to explore from, I really enjoyed the historic building and the beautiful view of the busy main street below. Very reasonably priced, great snacks for a short stay and restaurant attached for a meal. Thanks for the lovely trip.
Amazing place to stay!! So much history in Duluth already, this place has some too! Beds were comfy, bathrooms were very very clean! Front desk employees were very kind! Great place!!

This hotel is amazingly clean. The room was very cute and organized well. Great for a overnight stay. So very very clean and modern. Would recommend staying.
This was a charming hotel. The location was a little interesting, and there is no back door clearly labeled that is adjacent to the parking lot (which is in the back), so we had to walk around the block to get there. It was not bad because my husband was with me, but I would have been nervous if I had been alone. There IS a door straight to the parking lot in the back--but you just can't tell what it is or where it goes until you're inside the hotel. The hotel was clean and nice, and full of character, with real keys for the doors. It was also quiet on a Friday night, which we appreciated. The downsides: no breakfast (though they served coffee and donuts, which was nice!). The toilet was very loud (it's a commercial toilet, so think Walmart toilet when flushing). Also, the room temperature was not really controllable, except that you could turn the air conditioner on or off, up or down, but our room was pretty chilly. I would have turned some heat on, but the only option was a space heater in the closet, so I just didn't bother. Also, the beds are doubles--not queens, so you'll be cozy, but they were comfortable and I did sleep really well.
