"This hotel was very clean and quiet. My 12 year old enjoyed the pool, however my teen said it was too small and too crowded with smaller kids spashing. Personally I thought just having a pool was a nice perk, but it was not a calm environment. More geared for kids than adults that just want to float or swim and relax. The facet in the tub was pulled away from the wall, but worked. There were some cracks in the wall, but they looked more from the building settling than from age. I had read reviews that breakfast was good, but not what was included. So the morning we are here there was sausage and gravy and hot biscuits, scrambled eggs that were a little bland and watery but yummy egg white omelettes. The sausage patties were quite dried out but edible. There was also a pancake machine and fresh warm cinnamon buns. For cold foods there was cereal like raisin bran, special K with strawberries and Lucky charms. Milk, yogurt, boiled eggs and cream cheese were in the fridge. They had bagels, bread and English muffins available along with a toasting machine, the kind that just continues to roll. There was also hot oatmeal with brown sugar, nuts and raisins. Personally I was very happy with the selection. We would stay here again."

"Avoid this place. The only thing going for this old and tired property is its location near downtown. We were “greeted” by indifferent, unhelpful staff. The decor is absolutely horrid —a mish-mash of relics from the past 50 years, corny wallpaper, carpeting that looks like it came from the remnant shop, and lousy beds. Weekday mornings include loud truck noise out back. I would never stay at this place again."

"I had requested a pet friendly room and didn't get one. The front desk person gave me a room and assured me it was fine even though I said I would find another hotel that could accommodate my dogs. Again, he reassured me. I paid the extra $50 fee for this added luxury At 9:00 pm, when I was finally relaxing, the front desk calls me to say they got a complaint about my dog barking. She's a shepherd. She barked once at a sound outside. That pissed me off. I told him so. Then as I am sleeping at midnight, two people just checking in were yelling back and forth to each other about what each other had brought in. Staying at Hilton next time. You get what you pay for."

"This was our first time back since Covid and overall, had the same magical effect as previous visits. Would be helpful upon check in to advise of restaurants close times (we missed Nubbs closing at 8 and were lucky enough to eat at the Tiller, however super busy and took awhile) 2nd, we requested a 3rd robe, twice on Tuesday and it never cane. When I went to front desk to inform them of this (also because I didn’t want to be charged for a robe that never came to the room, etc.) it was the same front desk personnel that I originally requested it from and she didn’t even apologize that the robe never came nor offered any apology so that was disappointing. Very poor customer service there."

"Hotel was great. Nice breakfast that was included with the stay. Great location for exploring down town area. Only thing that we were bummed about was the pool size. It's small. But my kids still enjoyed it. "

"We didn't cook during our stay but it was helpful to have a kitchen with fridge and microwave for kids' snacks and leftovers. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed use of the pool and a late checkout. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!"
