The district has long been linked to growing wine. Understand the importance of wine in the region by taking a trip to the various taverns, such as Weingut Gerhard Zaiß and Weingut Hans-Peter Wöhrwag.
The outer part of the district is made up of vineyards and parkland. Ascend the scenic Württemberg Hill to reach the Württemberg Mausoleum. This is considered a romantic spot because it was made by King Wilhelm I as a tribute to his wife, following her untimely death. Find the Untertürkheim neighborhood on the eastern flank of the Neckar River on the eastern outskirts of Stuttgart. Take a U-Bahn train to the Untertürkheim station and get around the area on foot. Visit nearby districts such as Bruckwiesen, Wangen and Ostheim.
