"Housekeeping was provided every two days, and only one set of towels was supplied. There were no coffee-making facilities or electric kettle, so the amenities were quite basic. "A wonderful three night stay with several meal options, hiking, and shopping! The room in the main building with balcony was wonderful, bridge view and creek was very well thought out with several plugs, spacious, and a comfortable seating area. You don’t feel “stuffed” in the room. Parking, WIFI and breakfast were great! This hotel serves the Viking cruise line and other touring groups so they work hard to make it better than most! The chef from Portugal in the lower shop canteen was wonderful and he spent a little time with us because it was rather quiet. When you are so far from home the extra friendly visits mean more than can be expressed! We should have remembered your name!"

"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "
