Excellent resort with great staff. We stayed one night and enjoyed the indoor pool and quiet ambience. Sunday brunch is a must if you happen to be there!

The property was fine. However, I had an issue trying to change the arrival date, even though I had purchased travel insurance through Expedia. As I have said, the place is fine, and I've stayed there several times. It is a little dated but fine. The major issue is the travel insurance offered by Expedia. They didn't work with me I couldn't speak to a real person, it was a nightmare

Coming in the off-season, I found the service and amenities at Stroudsmoor to be disappointing. The staff made it seem like it was an inconvenience to check me in and out, and I had to stand at the front desk with all my stuff waiting for someone to be bothered to help me. Even though I called ahead, no one mentioned to me that the pool and fitness center were closed for maintenance until I had already arrived. I was also told breakfast would likely not be served because there weren't enough guests, even though the price of breakfast is included in the price! I was not refunded the value of breakfast. I was specifically looking for a place with breakfast included and a fitness room for exercise, so I found this extremely disappointing. I came in from the pouring rain from a long day of driving, waited around at the front desk, and then had to carry my own luggage up the twisting stairs. I don't mind putting my muscles to use, but I believe it's customary for inns like this to at least offer to help you with your baggage. On a more positive note, the grounds were beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the room was nice - although the bed was stiff and flimsy like a board. Overall, I would NOT recommend this lodge. There must be better places to stay in the Poconos with friendlier service.

I hoped for more, but sadly we had a few issues that seemed to be frequent mistakes. First the room wasn’t vacuumed, and we found rocks and dirt in the drawers, but housekeeping did come and vacuum. The following day the room got very cold, and we noticed the back wall was torn, and cold air was coming in. The final day we were greeted by housekeeping 30 min before checkout, saying they needed to start cleaning now since they won’t be here later. A very odd experience, but all of that was reported to the manager. I didn’t mention that the air in the room was dry, and in room coffee machine was dirty. As for the overall stay, it’s a pretty nice looking campus, but there’s not much to do. The food quality was below average, while the prices were beyond reasonable. Even the continental breakfast was a disappointment - featuring burnt coffee and a missing toaster for cold bagels. Another note I had about this place was the provided outdated campus map, which didn’t list basic items like an ice machine. Unlike most hotels I’m surprised they didn’t showcase any local attractions, brochures or events in the area or at the establishment. Might be fun in different seasons, but they really made a lot of mistakes to not warrant this review.

I Expected More Cleanliness…
Service was average at the front desk. Housekeeping almost entered our room on 2 separate occasions on the last day (probably two different workers), but they kept rattling the connecting room door. It should’ve been aa simple as them just going to clean the one room they needed to rather than trying to enter an occupied one. Only muffins, scones, and coffee were offered for their “continental breakfast.” No microwaves available. We felt each and every spring under the mattress. During our 3 day stay, we found 6 of those brown stink bugs flying around the room and landing in various corners of the cottage, 1 came out of the humidifier on the first night and we found one under the sheets on the last night so we just decided to ask family to stay with them. Hair found in different parts of the bathroom. Towels had clear gray bits of lint throughout them. This will be my last stay here.

The look of the Inn was very charming. But, with charm you must expect less than modern. There was very little direction as to where the check in was. Had to call to find where to go to check on. Turns out it was inside the restaurant. There was no elevator. We carried our luggage up a flight of stairs. The room was adequate. Looked like a victorian BB and was Clean. Bathroom was tiny and outdated. Could hear the people on the room next to ours all night. We visited the bar and dining room. Food was just ok and expensive. We didn’t receive any vouchers or discounts for staying at the INN and dining at their facility. But staff was friendly. The grounds are beautiful. The stone manor is spectacular. I would not stay at the INN again. Would bet a wedding would be lovely there tho.

Ledgemere Suites are lovely: set-up is comfortable, jacuzzi and fireplace work perfectly, and private balcony has a beautiful view. Staff is friendly and accommodating. However, service is reduced since my last stay: room service is no longer available, and I have seen better "Continental breakfasts" at the Super 8.

No need for Reservation Manager to be dishonest. Would not recommend. I got a good price for a stay for one night in November for a wedding through Expedia. There was a problem and I was gven information by the manager that was . Expedia not true. Twice. Expedia was cooperative and helped but there was no need for not being straight with me and caused me inconvenience.

This is quaint, but very dark. The property needs an upgrade . There is no elevator and the stairs are steep. There are no individual heat controls in the rooms and inadequate light. Staff is friendly.

It was a beautiful stay. There was a lot of leaves on the property but so breathtaking this time of year. A few frowny faces a little black mold in the bathroom and also there were a lot of blades missing from the blinds and these blinds weren’t the horizontal they were vertical so many missing. Nothing that can’t be fixed. Also the breakfast delicious and the service amazing. And maybe this isn’t important but the drinking water tasted so good so fresh and nice and cold. I was there for a wedding, the woodsgate so beautiful and the chapel area even more lovely.

Serene setting. Extremely quiet. Rooms are dated. Shower nozzle flew off while I turned on full pressure however I got it to work. Outdated tvs with analog settings. Wi-Fi did not work. Nice free breakfast though and Laura at the bar was great!

The property is extremely dark at night time. The lobby is in the 2nd building you come too. Perhaps avoid coming after dark if possible. Staff was very polite. Loved the back porch on the cabin.

I paid extra for a jacuzzi tub to have it blow out a black moldy substance. Hotel staff offered to switch room while I was checking out. Made no sense. Why switch with an hour left on reservation. Also plan on finding a public toilet to use as the toilet area is very small at only 2’ wide. I was then offered a 25.00 refund through Expedia for a room I paid 100.00 more for because of jacuzzi which we could not use. The hotel has a great restaurant. Go to eat but stay elsewhere.
