Twenty Acre Meadow The name of the field according to the 1839 tithe map. New Barn Shaw is the wood at the far end of the field of maize which would be removed later on during the day.

Rooks Shaw The name of the field according to the 1842 tithe map. Back then three sections of the field were given over to pasture with only one of wood and that has now gone leaving the field to be subdivided again this time for use as paddocks. The hedgerow on the left marks the Westmeston-Streat parish boundary whilst Middleton Plantation is at the southern end of the field.
