Quaint, quiet, and wonderful is how I'd describe my stay. We cooked dinner in the kitchen and then sat in the hot tub watching the stars. Comfortable stay. Only downside is there's just 1 bathroom for ~7 people the guesthouse can host.

Miscomm booking.

The surrounding is very peaceful and nice. A day before our arrival, we were informed that our booking has been taken and was offered an alternative stay. Upon our arrival, we were told the alternate stay were also taken and by other bookings and gave us another replacement stay. Unfortunately the replacement unit only have a WC with no shower room. In the end we have to cancel this booking and rebook another hotel. P/S: understand there is a miscomm between owner and booking platform and managed to get a full refund.

When I booked this property for 2 nights I thought we would have the entire house to ourselves. At other guest houses we have stayed at in Iceland, this was the case. Instead, what I booked was a room with 4 beds that had common areas available to all guests. There were 9 guests total each night with 1 bathroom. Kitchen could use a thorough cleaning; freezer drawers we totally unusable as they were iced shut (needed to be defrosted and cleaned.) Property setting is 15 minutes from town with no services any closer. Guest house is situated on a sheep/ horse farm which was interesting. Host was quickly responsive to our needs. Beds bedding was very comfortable.

Superb property

Fantastic accommodation. More than what we expected, It was spacious, very clean, amazing shower, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and a wonderful view. Very quiet and tranquil surroundings. You could even see Icelandic horses from the window. Host was very responsive and we had a great time. Would highly recommend.

The listing isn’t very clear about the bathroom situation. It turns out that there is only one bathroom (and shower) for 4 rooms in the same house. On the night we were there, there were 6 people. Long wait to use the bathroom.

Shared space not a guesthouse!!

No where in my listing when I booked this hotel did it say it was a shared house. If listed it as a guesthouse. I was traveling with my family and forced to stay here due to nothing else in the area being available. There's 4 bedrooms that you can rent but only one bathroom in the house. Just be warned the listing is very misleading!!

The kitchen has no door so if someone cooks or chats there you cannot fall asleep in your room. There are signs everywhere with commands to save hot water, tidy up and clean the dishes well. Not very welcoming. Apart from that an OK experience

This house is in a mediocre condition, and 9 guests from 4 rooms had to wait and use the only bathroom in the house. Both the washing sink and the shower are clogged and water accumulates over foot within one minute. No paper towels provided anywhere and one has to either dry their hands with the same towel hanging there or open the door with wet hands. The sheets and duvet cover are of cheap fibers which is really uncomfortable. And most ridiculously, the house owner asks the guests to remove the duvet cover and sheets when they leave and throw into a washing bag. I did and I can see bed dust and other people’s hair fly from underneath the sheets.
