"This place is a short drive to the beach. Worth it because it was a lot less expensive than hotels "on" the beach. The hotels "on" the beach are really not on the beach. True you don't need a car to get to the beach when staying in these hotels. You just cross the main road. But it's not like the property sits on the beach itself like in other places, Myrtle Beach, for example. And the Beach Club on Madison Avenue has a sister hotel that is on that main road. This means, you can get beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella at no cost when on the beach of La Mer hotel."

"The property is the old Tahiti. It has been totally and actively renovated. My room was crisp and clean, def not your typical beach motel room. The decor is black and white, the staff are engaged and friendly, the pool is well maintained, there was a kitchen in my room with some dishes and silverware, paper towels. I used the refrigerator but not much else being there only 1 night. Bring a coffee pot if you want coffee. Also you are steps from the boardwalk so you can also just walk up there and enjoy your coffee while looking at the ocean. They have a parking lot so you have a parking spot and I was able to use it prior to ✔️ in. They are very nice. It is under new ownership so there are things that need to be tweeked but to be expected. I will be back here for sure. Hoping it keeps the same welcoming hidden gem feel."

"Very nice hotel, but they should renovate their pool. The paint is very chipped and cleanliness was questionable. Also the parking situation is annoying. They have 70 rooms and only about 45 parking spaces. Street parking is not easy to find and quite pricey. Good accommodations when traveling with pets, it’s situated close to the dog beach. Overall a nice hotel with great potential."
