"We stayed at The Source for 2 nights in April 2025. We are a family of 6 and booked 3 twin rooms. The first thing to say about the hotel, is that it is obviously owned by someone, or by a group of people, who know what quality looks like. The hotel looks exactly like the photos, It is a boutique hotel with some fantastic touches and facilities. The buildings, the pool, the Spa, and the gardens, are all fantastic. Tasteful, well designed, and incredibly well maintained. However, in stark contrast to the appearance, the management of this hotel is very very poor. I would summarise it by saying that the guest services team is a. absent, b. takes no ownership for the client experience, and c. lacks any empathy for what a client may expect when booking and staying in a property like this one. As soon as we checked in, there were clues all around that the management was not engaged in the client experience. We saw guests being poorly served and becoming frustrated, numerous gaps in the organisation, some of which were explained away by the fact that the hotel 'had just hosted a wedding', and an on-site team that looked tired and disinterested. The biggest challenge with our own stay, was the checkout. We were leaving early for a 10.50am flight, and discussed the arrangements with the reception the day before.
