"A great location, close to Denali Park but far enough from the crowds. The daily breakfast was a great help and the facilities and staff were excellent. This one is a no brainer if staying near Denali. Dining at the golf course, Rosie's cafe and the 49th state Brewery were also fantastic and very convenient."
"Rented the 3 bed/2 bath cabin. Was very comfortable for 6 people and very clean. Stayed 2 nights. Was close to restaurants and was well off highway so very quiet. Great place to stay when visiting Denali."
"We stayed four nights in June - about a month after the new owners began running the place. Everything went very smoothly. The cabins are basic - very comfortable, but nothing fancy (but good WiFi). If you can, book one with a front porch looking out toward the park - the views are fabulous. The adjoining coffee shop also has a front porch with a view to enjoy while taking in your morning brew and perhaps one of the tasty breakfast sandwiches. There is even a well-stocked library in a yurt!
Best of all is the location - four miles up a (paved) road from the highway, on the forest/tundra border, complete with critters (we saw several moose and lots of birds). It is completely removed from the madness, mega-resorts and schlock of Glitter Gulch near the Denali park entrance. But the town of Healy is about 10 minutes away and has a couple of good places to eat (Rose's Cafe and 49th State Brewing in particular) as well as groceries, gas, etc.
Only quibble is the need for more effective blackout curtains - with nearly 24-hour daylight in June, it was tough to get a good night's sleep.
All in all, we enjoyed our visit so much that we are planning to return as soon as possible after the park road is finally fully reopened."
"It's clean and not fancy, but so much more value than staying at lodgings 5 miles south, nearer the entrance to Denali National Park. Prices are noticeable cheaper in Healy (groceries, supplies, souvenirs) than near the park entrance. Glad we chose Denali Park Hotel and would stay there again."
"It was a very cute cabin that had a lot to offer . It was on the outside of the park which was a bonus. Of the 5 cabins on our 6 wk trip, we rated it # 2. It was very comfortable. As per all vacation rentals, we received a lot of notices, your arrival , your stay, and please remember your departure rules. As far as our booking, we read on Expedia, there was a hot tub however this tub is attached to only 1 of the 4(or 5 ) cabins which are rented out. We felt that should be clearer when we book. You do not know which cabin you have until you receive communication 48 hrs ahead. This was confusing and a bit disappointing. It was not cheap!"
"An absolutely beautiful stay near Denali National Park. The property feels personal and thoughtfully designed, and the hostess’s genuine hospitality really elevates the experience. Our suite was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and quality linens, and the bathroom amenities were spot‑on. Breakfast was wholesome and satisfying, and the check‑in instructions were clear and seamless. The location is also convenient, just a short drive to the grocery store and gas station. A wonderful base for exploring Denali."
"Absolutely wonderful accommodation. Right at the edge of a lake, with canoes/kayaks and fire pit by the water. Great continental breakfast provided in our room. Microwave, dishes, etc. Friendly staff and COMFORTABLE beds. Great water pressure in the shower. Located near Healy and Denali National Park - close enough, but still quiet.
And several nights in a row, from one to six moose would casually wander across the shore - LITERALLY within 100 feet of us.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND."
"Cabin was spotless. Furniture and bedding was comfortable. Shower and kitchen were user friendly. Convenient to main hey but a bit noisy at times, due to this. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend to others. "
