"Hotel Heritage Dea Hvar, not to be confused with the Heritage Hvar Palace Hotel, was a small family owned place with just the right amount of quaint loveliness and proximity to Old Town and the ferry. We walked everywhere. The rooms are all differently arranged, according to the space available. They are well-furnished in an understated way, with modern lighting, plenty of outlets, and a unique configuration. Apparently the family and relatives updated all the rooms themselves. We gleaned information (even where to go for Gelato) from the very friendly, long term employees. Breakfast was very tasty, and included in the price."

"Our stay at Pharos was perfect! It was exactly what we hoped for during our stay in Hvar. The highlights included the breakfast buffet, which was large and full of delicious options, the pool and pool bar, and the proximity to town and beaches nearby. a few things to keep in mind, to reach the hotel by foot you will be walking uphill - a very easy walk uphill in our opinion but an uphill nonetheless, they do offer baggage pickup and drop off at the Hvar ferry port if you are coming in/ out on one of the public scheduled ferries! Very helpful for us with heavy backpacks. Another thing to note is that because it is at the top of a hill, it gets a little windier there than by the beach. So if it is hot by the beach, we found that the sun was still really warm by the pool but the wind cooled you down. We were travelling right before peak season so we can imagine it being perfect in the summer!"

"Our unit was a luxury one bedroom with kitchen and porch - really seriously a first class set up. Stefani, the do-it-all manager, went above and beyond helping us. Breakfast was excellent. Really put the positive accent on our 2 nights in Hvar!"
