Hollander Boutique Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Hollander hotel is a beautifully renovated facility. They maintained much of the original structure (floors, doors, furniture, etc); while upgrading windows and a/c to keep up with Florida temps. On the premises there is a restaurant and coffee area so you do not have to look any further for meals if you do not desire to. The pool is small and only 4' deep but is great to cool off and relax after a day of exploring. The walk to St Pete Pier is only about 1/2 mile away and the walk has wonderful views of the water and new/old architecture. It is also only a 40 min drive from Tampa with access to the convention center and arena while being far enough away to be quieter. Hotel employees were very helpful with check in and answering any questions you may have. When I needed to dry a few clothes after hand washing them, I asked and they said I could use the dryer after 4pm. It was free! Never happened in all my travels lol"

"We enjoyed our stay here! The room and bathroom haven’t been updated in some time, but the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location is really the gem here, as they have their own private beach, a great pool, and are centrally located around food, shops, and other enjoyable activities!"

"I wanted to try a luxury hotel and Opal Sands did not disappoint. Rooms were clean and the view was great. Food was amazing. Staff very nice. Plus they have soft water from tap and shower. No other hotel I've been to has this. Felt special. I'm definitely going back. Very impressed!"

"Pretty hotel with nice staff - in particular the parking valets. Pool was in the shade most of the day and the hot tub was closed due to private events being held near it. Room was spacious and comfortable. Didn’t love the beach set up. You have to rent chairs which was discounted which I appreciate but the beach was wall-to-wall cabanas making it difficult to navigate around and blocked the views of the water."
